Gladiator Sandal Boots, Yay or Nay?

Ok, I am loving the gladiator trend that is coming out these days as much as the next fashionista. I loved Gwyneth Paltrow’s gladiator heels she wore with her Celine dress at Cannes that I copied it for less. I paired a gold gladiator flat sandals with the Under $100 Dress Look I put together 2 days ago.
BUT, this gladiator sandal boots is just going overboard in my opinion. It’s big fat NAY for me, Whoever creates these things need to settle down. Sure, fashion is about going to the next level. Gotta keep it growing, exciting and expanding. Sometimes these efforts can get a little ridiculous though. Gladiator Sandal Boots are one of them.

I liked the gladiator sandles…but NOT the boots…I think that they would look ridiculous being worn with anything other than a costume
i like gladiator sandals too but the boots just seem too much so NAY for those. oh i hope they dont come up with gladiator boots that go up to the thighs…how uncomfortable that would be.

I love gladitor sandals, but these miss the point of both the style and boots. The only thing I could see pairing them with with is a mod shift-dress (especially the white pair). But lets be honest, if you’re going retro for that style of dress, it really looks best with real boots.
Oh, and Debbie? I wouldn’t even wear them with a costume. I’m enough of a historical costume snob to think they’d look ridiculous with an actual Roman woman’s tunica & stola.
I like the boots. I just bought a pair of with a snake skin print. Looks nice with a pair of dressy black shorts

They’re a fantastic design, and look amazing with a short dress or long bohemian skirt. Definitely eye-catching.

I just bought a pair of the balck boots today.
In my opinion i like them. BUT i think there are very few people who can get away with them.
you’ve got to have the marykate style going on, and lets face it if you odn’t have her legs, then its a nay for you.
I would wear my boots with short denim shorts, white tee and wayfs.
