OLD NAVY Metallic Jeans, NO THANKS. If it’s a metallic dress, maybe. A metallic top? most probably. But Metallic Jeans?, help me find the scissors please. Don’t get me wrong, I love Old Navy brand jeans. It’s in my top 3 of favorite jeans. Not only does an ON Jeans fit me nicely and comfortably, it’s also very affordable. But I think I’ll pass on this metallic jeans. This is just another case of when Old Navy has it’s brain-haired ideas and try TOO hard to be “hip”. ON go through that phase at least 5 or 6 times a year..LOL. I try to ignore it when it happens. OLD NAVY usually comes back to redeem it’s brain in the end, heh.
So how about you, are you going to wear a pair of Old Navy Metallic Jeans?

I think those jeans are stylish. You just dont know what stylish is, honey.
yup, I’ll wear them, it all depends what u wear them with.
I don’t have these, but a few years ago they had a pair of denim metallic sheens. I love them with a conservative cardigan and plain flats. I think with all pieces, it all depends on the styling.
My jeans were $3.97, thought you’d like that!
I think with the right top, it’d be good for going out, like NYE. I like all the metallic tops and sequins, but they’re just every day unwearable for casual styles. This is more do-able.
Perfect, and just in time for the holiday season.
I saw the ad on t.v. last night and I am off to OLD NAVY this morning.METALLIC PANTS? oh my.
Hi Ladies, believe it or not I thought about the things you all have mentioned. But in the end I decided it’s not for me. I just don’t see the Metallic Jeans lasting in my everyday wear. I might get away from wearing it a couple of times but for longevity’s sake, it’s screaming no for me.
I would like my jeans to last me at least 2-3 years.. depending of course if it still fits, hah.
Sofiya, it may be stylish now, but will it be stylish next year? I guess that’s why they call it a “trend”. Personally, I prefer trend that will at least last like I said, 2-3 years. Saves me money in the end.
Actually I kind of like ‘em haha. It’s definitely something I’d most likely wear to a swanky nightclub/bar/cocktail party paired with sky high heels, slinky top & clutch…
I’m sure there are ways to work it around ‘day time’ ensembles as well. Maybe a cream sweater & boots? Something understated since they are metallic after all heh.
I think it would be a fun to see what people could pair it with.
I actually love these. It would be a hoot to see what one could pair them with. I might have to head to the store (ahem) to check this situation out.
i love these jeans .. they looke so cute on da comercial …. it all depends on how they fit on you .. i would totaly buy them if they were skinier at da bottom …
I saw the commercial and RAN to the store to get them…once I got there, the disappointment set in. I thought they would have a subtle all-over metallic sheen. Nope! They have these weird patchy metallic splotches. Ugh! So sad! Now I am searching the web for what I really want.
Jen, hope you find it
These are the most hideous thing I have seen all year. And I have seen some pretty ugly pieces this year. I would not been seen in public in these jeans nor would I go out with anyone that had these on their body. Jeans for NYE? even metallic? NO! NO! NO!
Luckily I am a stylist and none of my friends dress to go out without my professional opinion and assistance. As far as it being a trend, that it is, but not a very good one, imo.
Ummm, I’ve wanted these pants for SO LONG.
I really want these pants. I saw them on the commercial and they are awesome. you just have to wear them right or they just look BAD. If these are so bad why are people wearing metallic leggings??? JUst think about it. YOu poeple just dont know how to wear them right!!!
–love from ohio–
OOliddia, metallic leggings? OI!
Oh by the way, just because some people are wearing it doesn’t mean it’s cool. trend, that’s what it is. it shall pass like the ’80’s
only in womens sizes? they have them in skinny no flare right? these pants are perty rad, id were them and im a guy ;]
the limited has a better metallic jean. it is evenly metallic not splotchy. i got mine on sale for 14.99!! i will wear it with a metallic silk sweater … head to toe glitter for the holidays!!
ArmaniExchange.com – search for the Gold Reverse jean. Its on sale and not many sizes left. I just got mine…so happy! They are skinny too, not flares. And the metallic is even, not splotchy.
Not only do I have these jeans but I LOVE these jeans. Not only are they comfortable but very stylish and I get plenty of compliments.
Yeah, actually, I would wear those jeans. But that’s my style, not yours. I can understand why someone wouldn’t want to…you just have to broaden your veiw of fashion a little dear.
Kim, I’m all for experimenting and broadening fashion view but I couldn’t see myself wearing a metallic jeans past Holiday season. I don’t think I could pull it off for this year’s spring or summer. So if I bought that it would stay in the closet until the next holiday season. I like to wear my jeans anytime, any season, any day. But good for you for being able to pull it off.
Way too flashy for me, but I could see them working on some people.
I actually love those shiny old navy jeans!
I would have to say no thanks on these jeans as well…too flashy for me.
tacky looking
I dont get the hype over these. Wise choice not getting them dexie. you are a smart girl.
Like it with a nice thin white sweater.
Rock!!! go on rockin’, this makes one a rocker chick.
It looks like a 80s mishap
Metallic pants are TACKY
though the cut and style of the pants are nice they ruined em with this metallic mess
It seems like I’m the only one that likes them.
I think it would look great with a tee or sweater…
still like them.
to each their own
Ummmm. No, don’t think I’ll get these-I’m still waiting for my leather jeans to come back in style.
They’re trying to bring them back. Metallic jeans were all the range ten years ago it’s just that it was young kids wearing them, mainly teenage boys and young men as a hip-hop staple. I don’t think they ever worked for women. It is a bit ghetto fabulous though.
I found a ridiculous deal on a pair of Marc Ecko though but they just weren’t my size. I think these days women would be more inclined to wear them. I think House of Dereon may sell them, can’t think of them ever really being mainstream because it takes a lot of nerve to wear those but to each their own.
