Oscar’s 2008 Red Carpet Request To E! Host Giuliana Rancic

Oscar’s 2008 is upon us. On Sunday, 24th to be exact. I have one request to E! Host Giuliana Rancic before she steps on that red carpet to ask “what are you wearing?”. PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DO NOT ASK MARRIED/ COUPLES, “WHAT IS THE SECRET?” I had to endure it during SAG Awards, and Grammy’s. It took every patience I have not to reach onto my TV monitor and shake the false eyelashes off of you. Everybody knows you’re married to Apprentice Winner Bill Rancic. YES WE ALL KNOW. You made it a point for us and the celebrities to know. Stop asking what the secret is to happy and long lasting marriage. Hollywood is the last place on earth to ask what the secret is. Hellloooo??? They might be happy this month, but as time has tested, nobody stays married in Hollywood. Well, not all of them. Most importantly and you might want to sit down for this, “THERE IS NO BIG SECRET IN MARRIAGE“. If there is one, there will be no Hollywood divorces or regular folks filing for divorce. Besides, if there is one, which I’m telling you now, there isn’t, what works for other married couples may not work for you and Bill. Different people, different personalities. Other married couple might be swingers or into open relationship. Or a spouse might prefer to stay home to take care of the kids and home front while the other is the breadwinner. Or both want to work, full-time. Or a couple prefer going to separate Churches, or one votes Republican while the other is a Democrat. One couple might not want kids, while others do. Or whatever. Like I said, different strokes for different folks.
Stop putting the celebrities in an awkward place by asking them the “big secret to marriage“. Remember when Star Jones couldn’t stop talking about being engaged at the red carpet? She got fired and replaced by Ryan Seacrest, of all people. You might want to stop robbing your marriage to people’s faces while asking what the big secret is. The last thing we need are clips of you talking about being a newlywed and asking married celebrities the secret and that said celebrities are getting a divorce in 2 years or so. Or worse, you. I hope it doesn’t happen. You and your husband seem like happy people. That would be like putting your 4 inches Jimmy Choo’s in your mouth.
Ok, in short, Stop asking Hollywood Couples the secret to marriage coz there isn’t one. Who am I kidding, it’s probably the next question you’ll ask after, “who are you wearing?”. I might as well stock up on Whisky and Diet Coke. Cheers!
