Ruffled Shirred Satin Blouse, Yay Or Nay?

I love purple. I also like ruffles, done minimally. I adore blouses. I think satin is divine. But this purple ruffled shirred satin blouse is such a eye sore to me. I think if they stuck to just pure satin and no shirring at the bottom, this blouse would look so beautiful. The shirred elastic waist is just not a good look on this blouse. I’m so disappointed how they ruined the satin. Only a size 00 or 0, or 1 or 2 or under10 to be able to wear this shirred blouse. All that shirring is not flattering to any woman who are over size 10.
What do you think? Yay or Nay?

I guess I’m a little taken aback by the comment that shirring doesn’t look good on women over a size 10. I am a size 12 and I think it looks fine. Had no idea I was too fat for it.
i didn’t say fat. I said unflattering. unfortunately there are a lot of women who are dressing themselves by not finding the right fit and what works for their body frame. let’s not kid ourselves. some styles don’t look good on everyone.
that top looks cute – hey isn’t fashion for the fit anyway?
I agree with you Dexie, It’s definitly a Nay, too complicated. Shirring is okay though definitly not flattering, and with the ruffles it’s just too much.
It’s not so much people over a certain size that should avoid shirred clothing as it depends more on your shape, anyone who isn’t happy with their shape should avoid shirred stuff as it shows everything, but if you feel okay then go for it!
If you feel okay and you like the way you look then who cares what other people think.
As for “isn’t fashion for the Fit” well that’s just Wrong on so many levels Dee.
