OMG, I am going to be skewered and barbecued for calling America Ferrara’s Monique Lhuillier charcoal grey dress a Fashion Miss but here it goes. Look, I LOVE America and I adore Monique Lhuillier. Not only does she make beautiful and body flattering dresses. Not to mention she’s a Filipina like me. I love the one she made for Marcia Cross. But I don’t like this color on America. It’s dull. It’s elegant, YES. But not for a vibrant girl like America. I expected her to wow me again like her cobalt blue dress at the Emmy’s. To be honest, if you take the lace-jeweled shoulder off, this would look a little bit like her dress at the Emmy’s. Just a little bit. I understand that if you like a designer who knows how to make a flattering dress for your body, stick with it. I agree wholeheartedly. But I wish Lhuillier went for another color other than charcoal grey. This would look marvelous on Vanessa Williams or Glenn Close.
Again, I love America Ferrera. I guess I expected more vibrant colors from her, not a charcoal grey one. Especially from a vibrant and oh-so talented young woman like her.

I don’t know, it is a gorgeous dress, and it does flatter her body type perfectly. I think it would look good no matter what color it was in.
It’s nice to see someone who is a little different in Hollywood.
I like the dress it suits her very well.
America is looking great these days!
I wonder if she had a bright silver clutch to go with that dress… probably.
It is nice to see an actress who doesn’t look like skin and bones.
She’s got such a neat name.
i love her name too
that’s the prettiest outfit that i have ever seen her wear…classy
oh… SHe’s Filipina? I didn’t know that!
Yeah cant u tell shes cute of course shes flip
America F. and the dress do not go well, she did not do justice to the dress and the dress did not bring out the best of her.
Monique L. is a Filipina, a Filipina mom and a French dad. She’s born in Cebu, Philippines.
Dexie, you are one proud Filipina.
Proudly Filipino…yeah
I love the name America too!
i think she is fabulous looking in this! love the color on her
she has lost weight since she first started Ugly Betty
I like the dress and the color makes her skintone look creamy. She glows like a pearl. Lovely.
