I love awards shows. Don’t you? How can one be a fashion blogger without loving award shows? :). Since there was no Golden Globes, I was dying to see the red carpet from 2008 Screen Actors Guild Awards. You know what, it seems the celebrities were craving for their red carpet moment too coz pretty much all of them wore wonderful dresses. Everyone looked marvelous. The trend was strapless/tube top gowns. Some went for florals and some went for colors. Love it, Love it. So here are my favorites from last night. BTW, keep coming back here this week coz I am once again on a hunt for the replica versions of these beautiful dresses. Woohoo

Eva Longoria. White sequined dress with plunging back by Naeem Khan. OMG. She knows she has a cute booty.

Kate Beckinsale. GORGEOUS tiered yellow dress by Luisa Beccaria. Such a refreshing look.

Christina Applegate. in a dazzling Elie Saab gown. She always look so flawless.

Sara Ramirez wearing an Angel Sanchez creation. The plum color was beautiful and it fit her like a glove.

Cate Blanchett in a floral Balenciaga gown. OMG, she’s gorgeous.

Teri Hatcher in a floral gown by Badgley Mischka. I love the jeweled details on the bust.

Rebecca Gayheart(with hubby Eric Dane) in Marchesa. I love the red. And the ruffles.

Debra Messing in a gold sequined dress by Oscar de la Renta. Look at that jeweled neckline all the way to the bust. And her hair. However did she keep it fabulous? Good thing it wasn’t raining
.

Marcia Cross in Monique Lhuillier. I love how Marcia Cross always go for colors to compliment her hair and complexion. She always looks radiant.

Kyra Sedgwick in L’Wren Scott creation. I love this color. Check out the bottom. Sheer and slit, oh my!

Sandra Oh in a Korean Couture. Sorry couldn’t remember the designer’s name. Not everybody would like this gown but I do. Sandra Oh took a chance on so many levels. A chance on a no-name designer who she really admires. And a chance on this couture creation. She went for it and I love it.
I liked more celebrities but these are the only pictures I could find right now. I liked Vanessa William’s yellow gown from Escada. Jamie Lynn Sigler in her Calvin Klein 2-piece gown. I liked so many. Like I said, they all looked gorgeous.
More fashion from 2008 SAG, coming soon…..

Eva’s dress is SO striking from the back, wow
You liked the Sandra Oh dress??? I thought it was a bad rendition of a hanbok.
However, I do notice that you really like turqoise, yellow, bright blue, and red.
I don’t like Eva’s hair here.
Eva and Christina look great I love their hair and dresses.
I really liked Sara’s dress.
kate always looks good.
The plum colored dress is beautiful!
I must add that all the dresses I thought were pretty.
Gayheart’s dress is kind of strange too.
Teri’s dress is tops! She looks like a million bucks!
eva looks like a forties movie star…5 stars for her!
eva’s dress is what i think of when I think hollywood
love the back emphasis on eva’s dress
i don’t like kate’s yellow gown…looks like a secondhand thrift store fifties prom dress that has seen hopefully better days
while christina’s dress is gorgeous, it did nothing for her fair complexion or pale hair…perhaps a pastel blue might be good for her?
sara’s plum colored dress was lovely and the color was a good one for her olive complexion and dark hair. She might consider wearing a matte finish material next time.
kate looked expectantly radiant in her flower printed gown.
teri looked good as she always does.
rebecca had a flamboyant red gown…not quite sure about the ruffles
i have never seen debra look anything but fabulous and this was no exception. I particularly loved the gold oscar de la renta gown…perfect with debra’s hair
marcia was lovely in teal…hard to believe that she is the mother of twins
kate beckinsale looks lovely in yellow.
krya’s jewel toned blue draped her body. I just don’t know about the blue lace in back.
Marcia Cross in turquoise is stunning. What a beautiful color!
sandra was beautiful in her gown of hot pink with a full skirt of black satin. I would have liked to have seen the entire dress in that shade of pink…it was so becoming with her coloring.
Didn’t like Beckinsale’s dress either.
There are some really pretty colors here.
Love the flower on Marcia Cross.
These girls all look so good
Christina applegate looks great
Marcia Cross dress is so nice against her skin tone and with her hair color. I love that hair color wish mine was like that
I would wear Kyra Sedgwick’s dress I like how the lace is on the back
Kate Beckinsale’s yellow gown is stunning
Marcia Cross is lovely, the blue dress goes well with her complexion.
i love Sandra oh. cool lady
Kyra Sedgwick looks great but not fake for her age!
Kyra doesn’t look like she’s had work done on her face!
