Style It Less

Stop This Bargain Shopping Mama

I would like to see you try, Heh. :) I was good though. I only grabbed 3 items for me(and 3 items for the baby). There were other pieces that I wanted to get like a yellow skirt with white skinny cord belt but I know for a fact that AAFES will eventually tag it with their 75% off tag in a couple of weeks. So as the rest of the tops and shrugs that were screaming for my name. So yes, some other time. But for now, here are the 3 items I bought in bargain prices.

When we went to AAFES(military department store) earlier today, I actually had my mind set on finding a top for my black pinstriped trouser. I saw quite a few white blouses possibilities on sale for 25% off. But then I saw this black polka-dot button MOD-inspired blouse with pleated front, button cap sleeves and sash belt and I couldn’t make up my mind. So I asked the hubster. I showed him the white one and the black polka-dot one. He opted for the latter. It was 25% off of $16.99 so it came out to $12.74. I tried it on with the trouser as soon as we got home but the polka-dot and pinstripes combo is not working. I don’t know why I listened to my husband in the first place. I thought I knew best. DO’H.

But that doesn’t mean this purchase is useless ‘coz this polka-dot blouse is actually beautiful. I could wear it with any of my black or white skirts, and even jeans. I’m sure it will go perfectly with a plain black or white trousers as well. What I love about it even more besides the fact that’s it’s polka-dot print is that the sash belt is not sewn into the blouse itself therefore I could always take it out and use any of my wide red or white belts. So see, all is well that ends well. It also means I’ll have to go back for the plain white version. I don’t think my husband has realized that yet, so shhhhh :) .

blue_eyelet_top.jpg

Isn’t this blue eyelet with scoop neck and cap sleeves adorable? 50% off of $12.99, so I only paid $6.50 for it. There was also a pink color but surprisingly, I didn’t grab it as well. I actually wanted to get another one in white color but they didn’t have it in my size. I hate it when that happens. Oh well.

suede_leather_brown_widebelt1.jpg

This wide brown velvet front, leather back with gold studs trim belt was on sale for 75% off. So instead of paying $14.99, I only paid $3.75 for it. STEAL!!At the beginning of this post I intimated only 3 items. I forgot that I have something in the mail that was just shipped off today. Hmmm, I wonder what it is? ;)

*PS: In order to be able to shop at any military department stores, you have to have a military ID. My hubby is in the Army National Guard(after being in the Army for 8 years) so I have the privilege of taking advantage of all their wonderful sales, everyday if I could. YAY!
