Butterfly Hem Maxi Dress

I couldn’t decide which color I should get this Strapless Butterfly Hem Maxi Dress. The Jade/Pink or Black/Pink? If you’ve been paying attention to celebrity fashion, thanks to Angelina Jolie, the column style on dresses have been so big this year.

I love maxi dresses, period. The stitchings on the top and waist are lovely but what attracted me most to this maxi dress is the gorgeous embroidering at the hem. I just can’t decide which color to get. I figured I’d ask your inputs. Jade or Black? I’m kind of leaning on the black but the jade is cute too. What do you think? Thanks in advance .

Purple Cleopatra Neck Dress, Under $15

This is the purple dress I mentioned when I posted the Evan Picone purple Marilyn dress last week. I have been very obvious with my love for purple lately. When I saw this purple dress at CATO a few weeks ago, the same time I found the red belted tunic, I fell in love. The wide black waist goes all the way back to tie. It’s sleeveless with black trim that compliments the black Cleopatra neck which buttons on the back of the neck.

I’ll be wearing this sometime this month and next month with black tights underneath and most probably heels or pumps. For Spring and Summer, I’d definitely go with bare legs and open-toe stilettos.

So while purple is the color for Fall, I wouldn’t think twice transitioning it for Spring and Summer. It’s all a matter of what shoes to wear to fit the temperature .

By the way, I only paid $12.99 for it. SCORE!!

This OC by Oleg Cassini Belted Dress reminds of the white dress I wore for our last year’s Christmas picture. Sans the floral and black trim print on the skirt of course. And I used a red skinny belt. The cut just reminds me so much of it and I so would love to wear this white and floral trim dress. This kind of dress is flattering to my body shape.

It used to be $140 but is it now on sale for $42 at Dillard’s. In sizes 2, 4 and 8. NICE. Put on a black shrug, bolero or cardigan for a basic yet chic cover up this Holiday. You’ll be looking gorgeous this Thanksgiving or Christmas.
