Summer Look : Floral Smocked Maxi Dress & Gladiator Flats

I did a mini-photoshoot with my husband as the photographer using the Nikon D40. I thought taking the pictures outside with the grass would look beautiful with the dress. I was right. I felt like a model .

This floral maxi dress is flowy and also very long. I had to scrunch it up a bit when walking to make sure I don’t step on the hem and fall flat on my face.

I paired it with my CATO gladiator flats, accessorized with a black bangle, hoop earrings, and sunnies. What do you think?

You can actually wear a bolero or cardigan over the dress and wear it for Church. Then you can take the bolero off after Church to have lunch or dinner with the family. It’s a pretty white dress that’s perfect for Spring and Summer.

The anchor necklace is cool, no? You can go bare on the neck if you want or opt for long black beads necklace. I picked the anchor necklace to make the ensemble a little different. It’s feminine yet fun at the same time.

Celebrities like Kate Holmes, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jessica Alba has been seen around town cuffing their jeans so I thought I’d do it too. It reminds of the fashion trend when I was still in college which I actually liked around that time. Apparently, I still do. Besides, I was cuffing the jeans before the celebs caught up with the “cuffed jeans” trend, heh.

The floral printed heels may look a little funky with an already patterned tiered top but I like it. The concept looks better in person. By the way, I put on a faux leather jacket to keep me warm.
