While admiring the makeover that UrbanOG recently got last weekend, I also saw a sale promo which said Free Shipping for $50 or more purchase. I immediately did a mental inventory on what shoes do I really need right now. I thought of a pair of black pumps. A patent kind to be specific. Now if I find something affordable I could include that with a few more pairs to get the FREE Shipping. I was determined to get the latter deal and I knew I could do it with a few more pairs of shoes that would be a good addition to my closet.

I ended up with 4 pairs, overall total of $54.96 and YES, free shipping. Individual feature on each shoe after the fold.

This is Wild Diva Gathered Pumps in navy blue. I have been wanting a pair of navy blue pumps for a while now so when I saw that these pair is on sale for $14.99 I said, “hey, now is the time to get one”. It actually looks better in person than the pictures. It has a satin round-toe and gathered design on the front.

I actually wanted either the fuchsia or turquoise colors of this Breckelle Pancy Strappy Sandal. But neither color have my size. I really like the strappy cage-like style and since I don’t have a pair of gold tone shoes I figured, I might as well. The sale price of $8.99 certainly convinced me even more. Good thing I bought it then coz now the size is gone. Maybe I purchased the last one, wheww.

Besides navy blue, I have also been drooling over purple colored pumps and stilettos. Every time I see one I get really tempted to buy it but I somehow managed to stop myself. I keep telling myself that a purple pair of shoes would be hard to pair with something unless I’m going to a wedding. However, the mismatching trend is the new black nowadays so to speak so I finally gave in. Besides, giving up that $11.99 sale price would have been stupid, no? The rhinestone decor on the front and the pleating on the back are just BEAUTIFUL. My feet look beautiful with them on too.

And finally, the black patent pee-toe pumps from Wild Diva as well. This was on sale for $17.99 and good thing I got it then coz I can’t find the shoes on the website anymore. A pair of black pumps goes with everything so if you don’t have one yet, get a pair now.

If you are wondering about the qualities of shoes from stores like UrbanOG, of course it’s nothing compare to Christian Louboutin or Manolo’s but not all of us can afford those. I’m not going to be wearing any of these pair of shoes everyday. Therefore I am able to take care of my shoes and make them last for a while. With these new addition in my shoes collection I’ll be able to play around more and feel confident that if an occasion or my mood calls for it, I have a pair ready to be aired out. And all I had to do was take advantage of the FREE Shipping promo from UrbanOG. YAY!

$15 Miss Me Pumps & Platforms

Here are a couple of black heels from Miss Me that won’t cost us more that $20. Black goes with everything so a couple of black pairs of shoes could sure vamp up your shoe collection. Especially with that $15 price tag.

Patent Peep-Toe Pumps. This is perfect for ANY days or occasion. Well except when running a marathon. Hmm wait, Kelly Ripa did that but I digress . A classic patent peep toe pump would look goos with jeans, trouser, skirt, and dresses. Wear it at work, a meeting, get together with friends or a date, and for cocktail parties during the Holidays.

This Platform Zip Buckle Open Toe Sandal is more on the trendy side. The gladiator trend in particular. The sheath buckled straps and cutout details make any outfit, similar to what you could wear with the patent peep-toe pumps, have a modern and edgy vibes. Gorgeous!

My New Gladiator Pumps & Flats

As promised the other day, here are the new shoes I purchased a couple of weeks ago from Cutesy Shoes. They finally arrived 2 days ago.

I picked this Classified White Gladiator Flats ($18.99) instead of a black pair because I think it would look great with bright colored sundresses. I already have a pair of black gladiator flats from CATO anyway. I had to educate my husband on the name of the shoes because when I asked him to take a picture (2nd image) he called it as “some Roman s**t“. I informed him that these types of shoes are called “Gladiators” in which he replied, “Well that makes sense“. Indeed it does.

Recession Shoes Shopping : Pumps & Flats

All this recession talks have rendered me depressed at least twice a day. My husband even warned me to stop being depressed because he can’t afford to send me to an institution because of the recession. Isn’t he sweet? Then one day while watching the Financial portion of NBC’s TODAY show, an expert told Meredith Viera that people need to stop getting depressed about the economy. It’s really the last thing any of us should feel or do.

That statement gave me a major epiphany. I’d probably get some eye rolling from some of you for sharing this but I took my credit card out, went to Cutesy Shoes and bought 2 pairs of shoes.

I need a pair of white gladiator flats so I bought this Classified White studded gladiator flats for $18.99.

Shoes has always gotten me out of any rotten feelings I have. Does that mean I buy shoes when I’m feeling down? Of course not. I just wear the shoes I have and walk around the house with them on. If just happens that I actually “needed” these new shoes trends in my collection so I figured why not?. Do I feel much better after buying these 2 pairs of shoes? Of course. Plus I spent money which inadvertently helps the economy, right? I’m waiting sooooo patiently for these new pairs of shoes to arrive in my doorstep. I’d show them off once they get here. I promise .

Strappy Platform Sandals, $20

The reaction I elicited after seeing this strappy platform sandals was a big whopping “OOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH”. Then I saw its sale price of $19.99 and all I said was a loud resounding “NO WAY!”.

I’m surprised my daughter who was taking a nap in the couch which happens to be right next to my office didn’t wake up from all my yelling. I mean it’s not like it’s a pair of Christian Louboutin but this strappy platform sandals is beautiful and the $19.99 price tag is like a cherry on top. I like the combination of the multi-straps with the cork sole and heel.

All my excitement went away though after I saw the available sizes. 8.5 is nowhere to be found. Bummer. There are sizes 9 and 10 in black color and sizes 8 to 10 in bronze color. Oh well, better luck next time for me I guess.

Bergdorf Goodman is calling this Christian Dior Safari Ankle-Tie Pumps as the “aggressive black pumps” for Spring. Aggressive indeed. Look at those platform heels, whewww. It is GORGEOUS. I love the silvertone hardware and the studded heels. I’d like to have a pair but I can’t possibly afford $1,390.00. Even if I can, I have better things to spend that money on. 2 monthly car payments and 2 weeks worth of groceries perhaps, hehe. This is when the bargain fashionista in me kicks in full gear. 5 Under $100 Jessica Simpson Shoes

I may not be as enamored towards Jessica Simpson as much as I am with her sister Ashlee, I do like some of her shoes. With the exception of the cowboy boots, I think Jessica Simpson and her Mom have done a great job with their shoe line. So if her Country Music crossover doesn’t pan out, she can always just focus on shoes, maybe her perfume, and the new lingerie line that’s coming up soon. But definitely focus on shoes more. That’s her niche right there .

Here are some of my favorite Under $100 Jessica Simpson shoes.

Jessica Simpson Fox Leather Ankle boots, $59.99. Pair this with an above the knee dress with tights underneath, OR, with a skinny jeans outfit. So sexy.

Jessica Simpson Donora Bow Peep-Toe Pumps, $51.99. I love the bow on the vamp. I also like the thickness of the heels. This is great with a black dress or any dress for that matter.

Jessica Simpson Jamela Suede Pumps, $51.76. Royal blue, and suede. I’m in love.

Jessica Simpson Melk Raspberry Wedge, $49.17. I love the bold color of raspberry on this wedge also. A white sundress during the summer would look great with this wedge.

Pick your cuff faux suede booties. I’m so dying to buy a pair but my husband will have a conniption if I buy another pair of boots. I just bought 2 pairs, LOL. But aren’t these ankle boots just too sexy? Katie Holmes wears her pair a lot. Not this brand of course. Jennifer Lopez has also rocked her own booties during the recently concluded NY Fashion Week.

I love the cuff details. Sexy as all hell. Pair with Skinny or straight leg jeans?With dresses, definitely wear tights underneath. So, pick one from brown, gray, black or burgundy for $39.99 at Chadwicks.

Bargain Shopping : Wild Diva Black Boots

In my quest to find a new pair of black knee-high boots, I stumbled upon this pair of Wild Diva with metal grommet studs on the side boots ($15) from Cutesy Girl. This was after 2 days of frustration from not having luck on the other pairs I liked from different stores. Either they weren’t available or they weren’t on my size. I actually preferred the brown color pair but as the story of my life goes, my size wasn’t available. Geez, does everyone wear 8 1/2 in the US?

Because of that I decided to get it in black and just find another style of boots in brown. Yes, I was determined to find 2 pairs, black and brown in one store to save shipping. By the way, I turned to online shopping after checking out my favorite shoe stores with no success. As much as I resisted ordering boots online, without trying it on, I caved and crossed my fingers. The last time I bought a pair of shoes online was 3 or 4 years ago on Ebay. It was a pair of boots also .
