Just a satin purple blouse and pinstripes trouser combo outfit for a day at the Church yesterday. I’ve had this ensemble idea in my head for weeks. I’m glad I was finally able to put it into fruition . A few pieces put together yet it’s chic and certainly a sophisticated look for a 30 yr old mother of 2.

If you tell me you’re not enthralled with this JS Botique Beaded Mesh Dress in red then I know you’re lying, heh. Isn’t it gorgeous? Oh and guess what, it’s on ale for only $43.90. it used to be $148. I KNOW. I love you too. Available sizes are 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24. The v-neckline that flows toward the gathered bodice is so flattering. The tiny details of beads below the bust and the fact that it’s red pretty much took care of the FLIRT factor. Calvin Klein Jeans Double-Breasted Coat, Under $80

I wouldn’t mind having this Calvin Klein Jeans double-breasted empire coat in my closet and eventually hugging my cold body this Fall. The length hits at mid-thigh so it’s pretty much a mini-dress. I love the puff long sleeves also. The collars and buttons gives that feminine touch all around. The price? It’s on sale for $73.99 at Macy’s from it’s original price of $149.50. It’s size L so it’s pretty much calling out my name. I’m M on tops and dresses but when it comes to coats I go a size larger. it gives whatever you wear underneath some room. But I’m sure you Ladies already know that .

SIL Look : Floral Tunic, Crinkle Skirt, Tights, & Boots

So here’s how I wore my new Floral print tunic with brown tones.

I wore it with a crinkle olive green skirt that I bought at the same store I bought the tunic from. Except it was last year. Around my birthday. The price escapes me right now but I’m pretty sure it was under $10. Brown tights and brown faux suede knee-high boots($29.99) from PAYLESS. The tan beads chunky necklace from Flea Market for only $1 and brown wood bangle.

Just a simple Fall ensemble. I didn’t want an overwhelming look by adding too much since the floral print tunic pretty much took care of that.

Levi’s Belted Tunic & Trouser Jeans W/ Boots, Under $100

I put all these together by going to Wal-Mart. Yup, Wally World carries Levi’s clothing. What I don’t like about the online site though is the limited accessories. I would’ve picked something with colors when it came to the necklace and earrings. And probably a bangle bracelet as well. Nevertheless, I think what I came up with is chic and the boots could go a long way.

Quintessentially, I would’ve worn this denim skirt and tunic outfit with my brown knee-high boots but I’ve decided to not-be-so-typical. Brown opaque tights and 2-tone leopard print platform heels combo looks so damn sexy(?).

Celebrity Bargain Stylers : Angelina Jolie and Her Thrifty Dress

Style It Less is going to start a new category called Celebrity Bargain Stylers. I think the title is pretty much self-explanatory. From time to time, I will feature female celebrities wearing clothing items in bargain prices. Albeit it’s old news, who would be the best celebrity to lead this pack but Angelina Jolie herself? Last month at the NYC premiere of her new movie, “A Mighty Heart” the Hollywood and Fashion industries went a-buzzed over her vintage $26($28?) dress she(her stylist,heh) found at a Thrifty store in Los Angeles. I mean the way both industries made such a huge deal about it that if you blinked your eyes for a second you probably missed their heads doing a 360-degrees head turn ala Exorcist was ridiculous. No offense to the Hot Momma of Brad Pitt’s 4 kids(Maddox, Pax, Zahara and Shiloh), but fabulous Thrifty Mommies all over the world, including yours truly, has been styling in bargain prices for years. A $26 dress is really not news to us but since I’m writing about it here I guess it is. So I must digress .

I’m not hatin’ on dear Angie, I loved her on GIA . And she looks absolutely stunning on this dress. I’m sure she didn’t anticipate all the bruhaha the Hollywood and Fashion industries alike showered on her thrifty vintage crushed velvet dress. I almost felt sorry for the Christian Louboutin heels she wore that night from being overshadowed by a bargain dress. OUCH! I wouldn’t blame the designer if he felt flummoxed over the whole thing himself, heh!
