It’s summer, and you know what that means right? Wearing short dresses, and shorts to beat the heat therefore showing your lovely legs. I’ve been using the new Schick Quattro for weeks now and I Like It. It has 4 blades which gets the job done. Plus it has 2 conditioning strips to make shaving smooth and having smooth looking (and feeling) legs for days. AND, it has the best handle compare to all the razors out there that I’ve tried. I can’t stand it when I drop my razor while shaving. I haven’t dropped my Schick Quattro at all.

I’ve tried 2 Kathleen Lewis products. Stiff and Sore and Lip Balm.

Stiff and Sore is a peppermint scented cream to alleviate muscle’s aches and pains. I so needed this last week when after a hardcore exercise. Talk about great timing. When you see “peppermint” you’d think you’d feel that cold and icy taste but not at all. When you apply it in your skin, you’ll feel a mild heat that soothes and rejuvenate your aching muscles. Lip Balm is probably one of the best lip balms I’ve ever used. I swear. Most lip balms are flavored that well for me personally, I end up licking. Those flavored lip balms don’t stay on my lips. Their effects are gone before I even leave my house. It’s the brain working, ‘hmm, it’s sweet so I must lick it off. Not with Kathleen Lewis Lip Balm. You put it on and you forget it’s there. It’s so natural and mild. No clumps either. Camellia seed oil is one of the ingredients which protects the skin while replenishing vital nutrients. Aloe butter gives that soothing effect while it hydrates your chapped lips. Honey which is filled with vitamins and enzymes to moisturize the skin. I must be honest and confess that I had no idea what SPINLASH was when it arrived in my doorstep. My husband on the other hand was impressed that I’ve just gotten it in the mail. Not that he wears make-up, not at all..LOL, but it’s sad that he’s familiar with it and I’m not. Apparently he had seen commercials on TV. Me the oblivious one, haven’t caught it or just wasn’t paying attention to it. 2 kids, blogging, chores, laundry and a husband can do that to you .

Anyhoooooo, I was so excited to try it out coz SPINLASH promises no clumps in mascara. I so needed something like this coz I’m always left with those pesky clumps. So how does it actually works? Click for more…

SPINLASH mascara has a brush that rotates 360 degrees in both directions, upper and lower lashes. While you’re applying your mascara, it’s also removing the clumps leaving you a clean looking made-up eyes. SPINLASH comes with two shades, black and brown. OR, you could use your usual brand. Do the usual dipping with the SPINLASH brush and let the thing do it’s job by hitting the arrows located on the SPINLASH handle.

I’ve only used it a few times. I’m still trying to get used to holding a rotating mascara brush. I’m not that good with makeup application so it’s a little hard for me to handle beauty gadgets..LOL. I don’t know if you could tell the difference from the pictures but yes I’m wearing SPINLASH mascara on the second picture. I apply my mascara very light and I wasn’t blessed with my kids long lashes. Not a lot of clumps and it felt nice not having to use the lash brush manually after just putting my mascara on. SPINLASH did both task, at the same time. It takes a little bit of getting used to for beauty products n00b like me.

 Hawaiian Tropic Sunblock Oil Free Faces SPF 30

I like it coz it’s light and non-greasy. It doesn’t make me feel all cakey or sticky even with my make-up on. It also has a mild scent which I prefer when it comes to sunscreen.

SRP is almost $9 but for me it’s worth spending a little bit more when it comes to sunscreen. Right now it’s on sale at Drugstore.com for $7.47. If you prefer light, non-greasy and mild scent with SPF 30 for your face sunscreen I recommend Hawaiian Tropic Sunblock Oil Free Faces.

I love this time of the year coz it’s the Victoria’s Secret Semi-Annual Sale. And I love my fix of VS. My husband knows it too . I usually take advantage of VS’’s Intimate Apparels. I love the bras, lacy thongs, tangas, low-riser undies and the lingeries. I love the Victoria’s Secret lotions and body spray collections but after doing an inventory in my vanity, I think I have enough for now. So I’ll just spoil myself with the Intimates this time again.
