I saw this Design History Maxi Dress on sale for under $40 at Nordstrom and I thought it’s beautiful. The black color is classic and chic. I originally thought of adding a pop of color by cinching the waist with a red belt or something but the waist area is featuring a crisscross detail that should be left alone. That’s the design of the dress so it shouldn’t be covered with anything. I still wanted to add colors though so I decided to use accessories to achieve the look I wanted to show.

SIL Fashionista : Polka-Dot Blouse annd White Skirt

I’ve been meaning to post this ensemble but kept forgetting. Well here it is. The black MOD-inspired polka-dot blouse with sash belt, white skirt, black sandals, long strand pearls for necklace, sterling silver dangling earrings and black sunnies. The white skirt is George from Wal-Mart. I think I paid $5 for it 2 years ago. Black heels is from PAYLESS. Part of a BOGO deal. The necklace was $1 from flea market and earrings were $4 from Wal-Mart. This whole ensemble is less than $50. Fabulous eh?
