Ruffled Shirred Satin Blouse, Yay Or Nay?

I love purple. I also like ruffles, done minimally. I adore blouses. I think satin is divine. But this purple ruffled shirred satin blouse is such a eye sore to me. I think if they stuck to just pure satin and no shirring at the bottom, this blouse would look so beautiful. The shirred elastic waist is just not a good look on this blouse. I’m so disappointed how they ruined the satin. Only a size 00 or 0, or 1 or 2 or under10 to be able to wear this shirred blouse. All that shirring is not flattering to any woman who are over size 10.

What do you think? Yay or Nay?

Bargain Shopping : Royal Blue Blouse

My favorite color is anything blue (and pink too) so when I saw this Fang Fashion royal blue blouse, I was sold. See, I like feminine blouses too. Plus it’s on sale for only $7.90. That’s way way down from it’s original price of $30. I could wear this with a trouser, jeans or skirts. Oh, and with heels of course . I found it at Goody’s by the way.

Who wants this MICHAEL Michael Kors Button-Front Tunic? It’s on sale for $34.82. The beaded detail is sooo chic, no? Too bad it’s only available in size Small. Lucky bunches.

Wear it with black trouser or dark wash jeans ala Mariah Carey. Don’t wear any necklace though. I think the beaded placket would suffice .

I’ve seriously been watching this MICHAEL Michael Kors Tie-Neck Blouse like a hawk. I’ve been really waiting patiently for this tie-blouse to go on sale under $50. Right now it’s on sale for $59.96. I love the polka-dot print and the blouson 3/4 sleeves. But I want it at about $35 .

Karen Kane Bow-Tie Embroidered Top, Yay or Nay?

This Karen Kane bow-tie embroidered top is not making me jump up and down. I adore bow-tied blouses but only to a point. I like the embroidery details on the sleeves and hem but not the bow-tie on the bust. I think it would look more chic without it. With it on the other hand, it’s just too showy. Dare I say it, even matronly?.

Kenneth Cole Reaction Puff-Sleeve Blouse on sale for $32. I love the open collar neckline and the puff 3/4 sleeves. The pleated bodice sure is flattering. I’d incorporate my skinny belts with this blouse. Either the black, red or yellow one. Oh, sizes comes in 4 to 14.

This ESPRIT Tie-Front Blouse has some of the feminine details that I love in a blouse. Let’s see, the lace detail in the pleated front is subtle yet stunning. The tie-neck details wouldn’t push my claustraphobia into gear. Compare to the Libertine Striped Bow Blouse from Target this ESPRIT blouse is a step higher. And it’s only $19.75. Down from it’s original price of $39.50.

CATO Dark Blue MOD Blouse

I’m getting ready for Fall season as I intimated in the TJ Maxx Fall Guide post the other day. I’m also trying to build up my blouses collection to coincide with building up my trouser selections as evident in the black pinstriped and tan brown pants I’ve bought recently. This dark blue color MOD cuffed-button sleeves fitted blouse is from CATO that I found last Friday on sale for only $6.99. As soon as I saw the color I prayed that it was in my size. It is, woohooo. I love it. My husband said I look good in this dark blue color and I can think of a lot of ways to wear this blouse.

With a solid color or printed skinny belt cinched on the waist.

A polka-dot print skirt which I yet have to find.

Solid color skirts.

Trousers, solid or pinstriped.

Jeans too, with skinny belt

Heels or knee-high boots.

Versatility, that’s what I aim for when it comes to styling. Without spending too much money? Icing on the cake my friends. And make it a devil’s chocolate .
