Denim Knee-High Boots, Yay Or Nay?

I got so excited when I opened my mail today and saw the new promo for Cutesy Girl. I have purchased shoes from the sites before because it’s one of my favorite places to shop for bargain shoes. For Fall season, I’ve bought 2 pairs of knee-high from Cutesy Girl before. A Soda Shoes brown wedge boots and black studded pair. When I clicked on the link today I saw a pair of dark denim knee-high boots that just totally turned me off.

And wouldn’t you know it, the dark denim also comes in a lighter version. What’s even more disturbing about these denim boots are the elastic fabric knit top. Don’t get me wrong because I do love denim for jeans, skirts, and jackets. However, I find these denim boots really fugly. The idea alone doesn’t give me the feeling of going to the store to get myself a pair before everyone else buy it. Interestingly enough I have about 5 celebrities whom I think would actually go gaga for denim boots. Take a guess if you want after you let me know if you think denim knee-high-boots are Yay or Nay on the comment box. If you say Yay then bless your hears, and here’s the link to buy it.

Detailed Boots For Fall

I am very happy with my pairs of boots (black, brown) which I wear alternately during the Fall & Winter seasons depending on what color of clothes I’m wearing. I am very satisfied with their basic canvas styles but I’m enamored with the detailed boots that are out these days. I’m not talking about buckles here. Cute little details like ruffles or floral appliqués or attachments that make the boots fun and unique. Here are few pairs of detailed boots so you’ll know what I’m talking about.

Check out the side-ruffling on this pair of Wild Diva Mid-Calf Boots. Isn’t that cute? This pair is $24.99 and it also comes in black.

Not only does this Wild Rose Studded Boots have the studded large flower detail on the side, it also has side-pleating to make it even more gorgeous. This $34.99 platform boots is also available in brown.

Gorgeous no? I wouldn’t mind having these two pairs in my closet but I can only admire from afar. I’ve got enough shoes for now. Maybe you could buy one of the pairs though .

5 Forever21 Sexy Fall 2009 Boots

I am very impressed with the selection of Fall Boots from Forever21. Not only are they trendy, the boots are chic as well. I can imagine all of us rocking these Fall Boots this year.

Saudette Ankle Boots

This pair is called Saudette Ankle Boot ($27.80). “Saudette” comes from faux-suede cloth fabric. The platform, round-toe front and are what makes it sexy and chic. The zipper on the back is another sexy detail added for flair. It also comes in black color but I’m quite loving the Teal.

Saudette Ankle Boots 2

This is another Saudette Ankle Boots ($32.80), except the zipper is on the side, the platform is wrapped inside, and the heels are slightly chunkier compare to the first one. I love the royal blue color though. What do you think?

Abbey Bootie

If you are not at all comfortable with the height of the previous 2 boots, you might like Abbey Bootie ($26.80) instead. This faux-leather bootie has slouch styling and not-so tall tapered heels. Just slip it on with skinny jeans or a dress for a night out or casual days. This also comes in black color.

Kenzie Perforated Boots

If you are in the mood for an edgy-rocker-chic look, then you’ll like this Kenzie Perforated Peep-Toe Boots ($29.80). I would wear this perforated boots with the look for less outfit I created last month. Sans the lacey tights of course.

Monroe Saudette Boots

If buckle details are your forte at the moment then you would like this Monroe Saudette Boots ($34.80). Strappy buckle wraps around the mid-calf boots for a chic and trendy look. This is great for dresses that drops by or just above the knees.

Bargain Shopping : Wild Diva Black Boots

In my quest to find a new pair of black knee-high boots, I stumbled upon this pair of Wild Diva with metal grommet studs on the side boots ($15) from Cutesy Girl. This was after 2 days of frustration from not having luck on the other pairs I liked from different stores. Either they weren’t available or they weren’t on my size. I actually preferred the brown color pair but as the story of my life goes, my size wasn’t available. Geez, does everyone wear 8 1/2 in the US?

Because of that I decided to get it in black and just find another style of boots in brown. Yes, I was determined to find 2 pairs, black and brown in one store to save shipping. By the way, I turned to online shopping after checking out my favorite shoe stores with no success. As much as I resisted ordering boots online, without trying it on, I caved and crossed my fingers. The last time I bought a pair of shoes online was 3 or 4 years ago on Ebay. It was a pair of boots also .

"I Am Sick" Virtual Shopping

I’m really not feeling good right now. Stuffy nose and constant coughing is doing my head in. I can’t think. It’s hard to come up with a few sentences let alone come up with a couple Under $100 outfits. So right now I’m curing myself with drinking lots of water and virtual shopping. Shopping (and chocolate) cures everything (you didn’t know that? ) I’m hoping virtual shopping would make me feel a lot better. So here are my picks :

Carmen Marc Valvo blue chiffon halter dress, $1090. I first saw this dress worn by my favorite soap star Laura Wright and I haven’t stopped thinking about it. I wish I could afford it and have a special occasion to wear it. *DROOL*

Mossimo Faux Leather Knee-High Boots, $35

This Mossimo Faux Leather Knee-High boots is a good example of how I like my Fall boots. Rounded Toe and stacked heels. I feel much comfortable walking trading the Fall weather with a chunky heel like these. I guess it’s because it was the stylish kind of boots that I was able to rock in the snow. Having lived 8 years in NY, where it snows every winter, I wanted to wear something stylish yet comfortable.

Stiletto heeled boots on 4 inches of snow just would not work, no matter how much TV shows or celebrities our there would like you to believe. Ironically, I could actually wear the stiletto heeled boots here in NC but I’m too chicken to try, heh. Anyhoooo, I might check my local Target store for this pair of boots sometime soon. Really need to get my gear in preparing my self for cold weather. Time to retire my old boots .

Marshalls Fall 2008 Shoes Collection Preview

You’ll notice in a bit what direction Marshalls Fall 2008 Shoes Collection went for. Pay attention to the colors. A lot of grays. There are blacks and other bright colors but gray is mostly the focal point this Fall 2008. Not a lot of prints either. As for styles and designs, we’ve seen them through the years. Nothing really earth shattering shoes-orgasm but they’re good nonetheless .

To tell you the truth, I’m not really impressed. I do like the lacy booties but that’s just it. The flat knee-high boots with zippers aren’t that sexy. I prefer my boots with heels. What do you guys think so far? Visit a Marshalls store near you to check ‘em out.

If last week weather was frigid cold which prompted me to bundle up, today is all windy. You should’ve heard the thunder this morning. I thought my roof was going to fall on top of me while I was fighting my darnest to leave the comfort of my bed. I was contemplating on calling my Channel Editors to let them know I can’t work today coz I’m afraid to turn my computer on.
