3 Dresses I Wish Were A Bit Longer

Sometimes I see dresses over at Forever21 that I really like but get disappointed at the length. They’re probably meant for younger buyers but as a woman in my 30’s I could actually see myself wearing them. Only if they were a little bit longer. Perhaps, just above the knee or so. Take for example these 3 cute dresses.

Box Pleat Bubble Dress

OK, while I may not actually wear this Box Pleat Bubble Dress ($27.80), I think it would still look better for a woman in her late 20’s if it’s a little longer. Right? It would be a cute cocktail dress for sure.

Lace Front Satin Dress

If they cut the satin fabric on the skirt a little bit longer, and added more of the peeking tulle underneath, this Lace Front Satin Dress ($22.80) would be such a fun and elegant Little Black Dress perfect for a party.

Studded Empire Dress

How gorgeous are the pleated detailing on the hips and the studded empire-waist from this Studded Empire Dress ($39)? Again, if it was a little bit longer this would look so elegant, chic and sophisticated for a woman like me in her 30’s.

Ahhh, oh well. I guess we can’t have all the pretty dresses, right?

Gorgeous and affordable cocktail dresses for under $30. Guess where I found them? Forever21 of course.

Origami Cocktail Dress

I can’t get over how stunning this origami strapless cocktails dress is. And it’s from Forever21, no less. The pleating design from the neckline and all over the dress is amazing. I would wear this with black pumps, black clutch and a simple bling on the neck. I can see anyone in their 20’s and 30’s looking stunning in this origami dress. $27.80

Charisma Cocktail Dress

I would recommend this Charisma Cocktail dress to someone in her teens or early 20’s. It has that playful and youthful touches that is perfect for that age group. As beautiful as it is, a woman in her 30’s might look desperate wearing it. Now, if the bunched tiered skirt and lace hem were extended a little bit longer, say below the knee, then it would look beautiful to someone my age. $27.80

A gorgeous Evan Picone Purple Marilyn Dress that’s on sale for $74.99. It looks just like Marilyn Monroe’s famous white dress except that it’s purple obviously.

It’s haltered v-neck style that closes in the back. The lower bust is gathered which makes it oh-so flattering. I’d wear this cocktail dress any red dress for the upcoming holidays. Actually, I have a purple dress I still need to show you all.

Maybe you could have your own Marilyn Monroe moment with this Evan Picone dress. Using your own fan…LOL.

Listen Up Audrina and Heidi….

I was finally able to catch the new season of Project Runway this weekend and who knew I’ve missed it so . The designers challenge was to create a cocktail dress out of eco-friendly fabrics. Which by the way were bought by their respective models. The mystery guest judge was eco-friendly celeb fashionista Natalie Portman. So what does that have to do with Audrina and Heidi?

Well, Nina Garcia uttered the best line I’ve heard on TV last week : “shiny, tight and short is the quickest way to look cheap“.

As soon as she said those words, I instantly wished and hoped that Audrina and Heidi aka The Hills “Bad Girls” watched the episode. Wouldn’t that be awesome.

From Megan Fox, Lindsay Lohan, Anne Hathaway, The Pussycat Dolls, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jennifer Hudson, Paris Hilton, Liv Tyler, Whitney Port. I added Audrina Patridge and Heidi Montag since they made an effort to look like their usual skanky selves, heh.

I must admit, that for an MTV award show, they all managed to look HOT. Yes, even Paris Hilton . And of course, Audrina Patridge blended right in with her signature uber-tight mini-dress, heh. Did you see SJP’s tied booties? It’s certainly something for a warm weather, hehe. My favorite is Lindsay Lohan’s purple belted tiered mini dress. I thought she looked gorgeous. I don’t care if it was too short. Well it’s a mini-dress, hello. But yeah, LiLo looked nice . How about you? Who was your favorite celeb in a mini or cocktail dress from the 2008 MTV Movie Awards?

BTW, you should check out how HOT Johnny Depp was. Oh My God!

SAG 2008 Fashion Favorites : Cocktail Dresses

Michelle Pfeiffer(Hairspray). I love her. She doesn’t look a day older.

Rebecca Romjin(Ugly Betty)/strong>. Either I missed her talking to the E hosts or she didn’t talk to them. I wanted so bad to know which designer she’s wearing. She looked gorgeous as always. I’m guessing it’s another vintage which Rebecca loves to wear during award shows.

Tina Fey(30 Rock) wearing an Alberta Ferretti cocktail dress. She rocked this one-shoulder dress.
