Plaid Patterned Dress

I saw this Plaid Babydoll Dress at Wal-Mart for $12. I just couldn’t put it down. I debated with my inner self if I should get it. As you can see, I ended up getting it. I figured I wouldn’t know how I would look in plaid if I don’t wear one, right? I’m not going to necessarily buy all sorts of plaid print clothing now. I don’t see myself wearing plaid shirts like Lauren Conrad or one of those Olsen twins. I have the a couple of skirts but that’s pretty much a given in any fashionista’s closet.

When I ventured onto the Kids’ section, I saw a plaid smocked dress which I thought would be perfect for my daughter.

Isn’t that cute? That’s $6. She and I are going to wear matching plaid dresses today. I will try to take some pictures to show you sometime this week how we looked. I’m getting really excited .

The last top I found when I went recession shopping at the “going out of business” Goody’s store is this Hypnotik Black Tunic. It used to be $30 but I ended up paying only $9.96. It wish it was lower than that but oh well.

The sleeves are split with 2-button detail. The banded hem is the one that actually caught my attention at first. I’m looking forward to wearing this come Spring and Summer time. I’d probably wear it with a pair of jeans and heels or flats. I could wear it now but it’s still cold and I really don’t feel line wearing a coat over the top. I want to showcase the banded hem albeit it’s simplicity .

Ashley Judd teal smocked short sleeves with keyhole-tie top. It used to be $25 but I only paid $9.96. This teal top would look beautiful with the white jeans and any of my denim jeans for that matter.

Ashley Judd brown embroidered top. It used to be $30 but I only paid $11.96 for it. Another top for jeans or even shorts.

I wish the prices were lower since it’s a going out of business sale anyway, but oh well. I’ll see if I could dig for more when I go back there before Goody’s completely disappears. I hope you do as well .

Now that Goody’s is going out of business I figured I might as well take advantage of it. I said the store has brand names in affordable items but I do think they need to lower their sale prices further. If they really want to get rid of their stuff, they need to slash more off of the original prices. There are still a lot left because with how the economy is going, shoppers are not willing to pay $25 on a top if they could easily get the same thing at TJMaxx or Ross for $10 or $5. Just a thought.

Having said that, after digging through a LOT of racks, I found an Ashley Judd Flare White jeans.

This Ashley Judd white jeans is regularly priced at $39 but I only paid $13 for it. I wish it was lower like $10 since Goody’s is going out of business anyway. What can I say, I wish for bargains too much . Oh well, $13 is a good price. I’m looking forward to wearing this white jeans soon. Most probably in the Spring and Summer. I also found an Ashley Judd Teal top that would go nicely with this. I’ll talk about that some other time.

If you have Goody’s in your area, check it out now before everything disappears. I’d probably visit the 2 stores near me sometime before they close. I’m biding my time. I’m trying to wait ’till everything are like less than $10 (LOL).

I have to take care of myself too, you know? . I bought this Suzi Chin twist front charmeuse dress from Smart Bargains on sale for $79.99.

You’re probably wondering about the color. Our last year’s Christmas Picture theme was red and white. I wore a white dress with red cardigan and red pumps. This year I decided to have a winter blue theme. That’s why I bought a blue dress. We’re not doing the quintessential red, white or green this time around. That’s what everybody is going to be doing, besides those ugly looking Christmas decorated sweaters. Oh My Gosh, perish the thought.

Back to the Suzi Chin dress, as the picture shows, it’s silk charmeuse with V-neck and slight ruching on the bustline. I was so excited when my dress came in the mail. I tried it on right away and oh my gosh, the charmeuse silk is on my body felt glorious. Not to mention glam and elegant.

I’m looking forward to wearing it for our pictures, at Church and probably at our Christmas dinner. Plus, any special occasion in the future.

Lovely feminine details huh? Too bad I was in such a hurry. Hubby forgot his cellphone in the car, mine died and we were meeting people for lunch so we had to run out of there after he got what he needed from Radio Shack. Thank goodness it was a delicious lunch or I would’ve been pissed for missing out on a great sale event..hehehe .

You have no idea how that makes me soooooo happy, especially when I tried it on. It’ll be a while for me to wear it though since it’s still cold where I live. We’re waking up to an average of 45degrees accompanied by wind everyday. When I wear this dress, I’d love to wear it as is, with no jackets whatsoever. The way Sasha wore her own colorblock dress. I’m thinking of wearing black stilettos with mine though. So I’m guessing, this will be my 11th year anniversary dress . That would be in May. By that time, the weather is perfect and hopefully I’ll be bordering size 7. Wish me luck…hehehe.

I don’t care what anybody says, I love my Floral tops, heh. Here’s a couple more I bought along with the Hot Tempered Blue floral top I bought a week ago.

1st Floral Top : Another one from Hot Tempered. This is fuschia, scooped neck and a solid brown color wide-sash belt that ties around the back. It used to be $30, I only paid $7.90.

2nd Floral Top : This is from Self Esteem USA. A combination of chocolate and blue color as well as a combination of floral and polka-dot prints. I figured a long sleeves floral top would be nice to have for that early Spring breeze. It has a ruching on the empire waist which extend to a wide-belt that ties on the back. Original price was $25. On sale for $5.90.

I have reasons why I love boleros. They never go out of style which is why they’re part of my 50 Fashion Trends List. No matter what year you are in, boleros will always make certain outfits complete. They’ll keep you warm on the days you don’t necessarily want to wear a jacket but still want a light cover-up. AND, boleros hide the big arms that I’m happened to be blessed with. These brown and red boleros are from Say What NY? brand. They were on sale for $5.90 each. They used to be $30 each. I figured I’d get both since I know boleros will always be a nice accessory to have in my closet. I can certainly play around with their colors. I wish Goody’s had a black one too but they didn’t. Oh well. These two should suffice
