3 Dresses I Wish Were A Bit Longer

Sometimes I see dresses over at Forever21 that I really like but get disappointed at the length. They’re probably meant for younger buyers but as a woman in my 30’s I could actually see myself wearing them. Only if they were a little bit longer. Perhaps, just above the knee or so. Take for example these 3 cute dresses.

Box Pleat Bubble Dress

OK, while I may not actually wear this Box Pleat Bubble Dress ($27.80), I think it would still look better for a woman in her late 20’s if it’s a little longer. Right? It would be a cute cocktail dress for sure.

Lace Front Satin Dress

If they cut the satin fabric on the skirt a little bit longer, and added more of the peeking tulle underneath, this Lace Front Satin Dress ($22.80) would be such a fun and elegant Little Black Dress perfect for a party.

Studded Empire Dress

How gorgeous are the pleated detailing on the hips and the studded empire-waist from this Studded Empire Dress ($39)? Again, if it was a little bit longer this would look so elegant, chic and sophisticated for a woman like me in her 30’s.

Ahhh, oh well. I guess we can’t have all the pretty dresses, right?

Under $100 Look : Belted Painted Flower Dress & Gladiator Pumps

As soon as I saw this multicolored belted painted dress from Forever21 I knew exactly what shoes to wear it with. Let me show you how I’d wear it.

Belted Painted Flower Dress, $22.80
Black Faux-Leather gladiator pumps, $22.80
Lilith Plate bracelet, $7.80
Polished lucite hoop earrings, $4.80

That gladiator pumps is to die for. I don’t think I’ll be over the gladiator trend this year. Especially if it looks like the one in the picture. It adds such an oomph into any outfit. Except the gladiator boots of course. Now that’s a no-no .

Under $100 Look : Connected Apparel Floral Print Swing Dress & Boots

This Connected Apparel Placement Print Swing Dress has haunted me for months. It goes way back to last year. Before and during the holidays. See, I wanted it, but I wasn’t willing to pay the sale price yet. 2 days ago was a different story. It’s finally on sale with a price tag I am very willing to pay for. Yes, you can add Jordin Sparks, American Idol champion, on the list of celebrities who have created a fashion line. Jordan Sparks collection, aptly called “SPARKS” launched on November 19th consisting of 12 dresses just in time for Holiday shopping.

I must admit, I like the Jordin Sparks dresses. I would happily buy the purple one-shoulder bubble dress (2nd picture above) and the strapless satin bow-side dress (2nd picture below). Prices range from $30 to $60 in sizes XS to XL. The 12 dresses are just a starting point. The “Sparks” collection will expand to casual wear and accessories in the future.

So, what do you think of Jordin Sparks collection so far? Would you buy any of it? I can honestly say that I’d wear a Jordin Sparks designed dress before I’d put on any of Ashlee Simpson’s punk tees .

How beautiful is this black and white babydoll floral print dress? Pair it with black stilettos or pumps and it’s a perfect wedding ceremony/reception outfit. Or any other special occasion for that matter. GOR-GEOUS!!. It’s $22.80 at Forever21 so get it while it’s still available. If you can’t wear it this year, it’s nice to have it just in case .

Yellow or White Tube Woven Eyelet Dress?

I think it’s stupid for me to ask which color you’d prefer from these tube woven eyelet dresses. Personally, I’d take both..hehe. Variety is good especially with such a cute summer dress. Eyelet no less. With a lace trim tiered details to make the eyelet dresses even more adorable. Each is $24.80 from Forever21, and available in S, M, L sizes.

Is it just me or are there too many things going on with this Forever21 Ruffled Babydoll Dress? There’s the ruffles, which trust me I do like. then there’s the satin waist-tie which I also like. But not together. Just take the waist tie and leave it as ruffled dress or don’t do the ruffles and just do a waist tie babydoll dress. Know what I mean? Feminine details done separately and you’ll have a 2 pretty cute dresses . What do you think? Yay or Nay?

Bridesmaid Dresses, $30 Each

Inspired by the hype from movie 27 Dresses with Grey’s Anatomy star Katherine Heigl, I figured why not find beautiful and affordable bridesmaid dresses. They do exist you know, and here they are. They’re actually the same dresses, just in different colors. I actually like different colors for bridesmaid dresses. The bridesmaids get to choose what color they love for a little personalization. Kinda like when I was a bridesmaid to my bestfriend’s wedding in San Diego. I picked my favorite blue(kinda like the 2nd dress here), someone else picked lavender, another one picked seafoam green, and the last one picked peach. It was a pastel colors theme. The bride wore white of course . The whole event was beautiful. Anyhoooo, here are the dresses…

Satin Dress, Cerise. $29.99. Size 14.

Satin Dress, Blue. Sizes 6, 10 and 14.

Satin Dress, Periwinkle. Depends on the sizes, you can also get this in sage, light brown.

So if you happened to be part of a wedding entourage this year, why not suggest these dresses to the bride. They’re gorgeous and they wouldn’t necessarily cost that much. Not at all, what am I talking about..:)
