Funky Town Jumpsuit, Yay or Nay?

I’m definitely NOT a jumpsuit trend advocate. Even though one of my favorite celeb fashionistas, Gwyneth Paltrow, looks good in it. Seeing this Funky Town Jumpsuit from Lulu’s just gave me an even good reason not to like it.
Prints are prints and I like it on a top or a dress. But not in a jumpsuit albeit solid colored jumpsuits are not my thing either as I said earlier. I just went “WHOA” when I saw it. I tried visualizing it with a cropped jacket like either a motorcycle, bomber or denim jacket and paired with pumps. …read more

Christian Louboutin Zipper Ballerina Flats

Style It Less is a bargain fashion/shopping blog but once in a while I try to dabble in high-end fashion for fun. Besides, who doesn’t want a pair of Christian Louboutin in their shoe collection? I saw the new Christian Louboutin Zipper Ballerina Flats yesterday and I’m really not that impressed.

What do you think? I would have like it more if there were no studs on the front.I lovethe combination of cranberry color, lace side gore detail and the zipper side heel. But the Goldtone hardware studs are just too much. I feel like being poked by the,, …read more

Heart Cut Out Bags, Yay or Nay?

Heart Cut Out Bags, Yay or Nay?

When the circle cut out bags came out last year which I saw on a lot of Woman at the mall, I should have prepared myself for another shape cut out bag. Like, oooh I don’t, hearts?

The new shape that’s out and most probably be found on some Women or teenagers arms are these heart cut out bags. I thought the circle cut out bags were terrible but the heart cut out are even worse. Actually, I would find it cute on a teenager but not a Woman. It’s too girly and trendy and too cute.
These can …read more

Papillon Blanc Twin-Print Dress, Yay or Nay

Papillon Blanc Twin-Print Dress, Yay or Nay

I do believe that twin-prints on dresses can be tricky to pull off. You don’t always find twin or multiple prints on 1 dress that mesh well for an overall look. Take for example this Papillon Blanc Twin-Print Dress.
The top is in black & white animal print while the bottom is also black & white floral print with a pop of purple colors. I got dizzy the first time I saw it. Well, it’s an exaggeration but you get my drift.
The problem with this dress is that each print is already bold and powerful, know what I mean? …read more

Harem Pants, Yay or Nay?

Harem Pants, I call it the undecided pants. It couldn’t make up its mind. Whether it wanted to be loose or tight. So loose and tight it is. The result? An Ugly looking pants that is a big FASHION DON’T.
Sorry but unless you’re one of the contestants on So You Think You Can Dance, Harem Pants are just freaking ugly. I could understand it’s sort of comfortable that’s perfect for dance performances. It could be edgy with embellishments. But other than that, I don’t know how anyone else who could justify wearing a loose crotch and tight knees or …read more

I Call This A What The Hell Dress

Add this Cascading Chiffon Dress from Forever21 in my “I wouldn’t be caught dead wearing that outfit” list. There is no way in hell I’d wear this Fugly dress.
Who woke up one day, got ready for work, and decided to sketch a sheath dress then imagined grabbing a curtain in her living room and sewed it in the front of the dress? I don’t consider this avantgarde nor is it a clever design. My golly, what the hell were they thinking?
Tell me honestly, would you wear this dress?

Jelly Gladiator Sandals, Yay or Nay?

Jelly Gladiator Sandals, Yay or Nay?

In my opinion, jellies should only be for little kids. Having said that, I haven’t bought my daughter any kind of jelly shoes. I guess it’s really not my thing. Anyhoo, I love the gladiator trend. I have them in heels, platform heels, and flats. Do I think jelly gladiator sandals are cute? Heck no.
Honestly, would you wear jelly gladiator flats? If you say yes, then I guess it’s your fashion prerogative. It’s just really not something I would be clamoring for anytime soon. This one is from Payless for $16.99 and it comes in other colors too.

Lampshade Dress, Yay Or Nay?

Lampshade Dress, Yay Or Nay?

You blink an eye for one second and BOOM, there’s a dress called Lampshade Dress. Surprisingly enough, depending on the color, it might actually pass my Yay radar.
This lampshade dress is from Forever21 ($39). It has a smocked upper and hem adorning the bubble skirt and an embroidery ruffled trim. At first I thought it might make my hips more huge than it already is. But then again, I like bubble dresses so a lampshade style dress shouldn’t be any different. For some reason I like the black color more than the nude one. I think the black is …read more

Color Splatter Strapless Dress, Yay or Nay?

Color Splatter Strapless Dress, Yay or Nay?

I’m usually a big fan of tiered styles. I even thought a petal tiered top wasn’t bad at all. I feel differently about this color splatter strapless dress though.
The color splatter print and the bright colors remind me of 80’s. It’s 2009, 80’s has got to go. I think it’s actually the worst year in fashion, but that’s my opinion of course. If this dress was in black, white or maybe even yellow, blue or pink, I might be singing a different tune.
What do you think? Is this color splatter dress a Yay or Nay? Just in case, …read more

Tribal Print Sweater Tunic, Yay Or Nay?

Tribal Print Sweater Tunic, Yay Or Nay?

I’m currently working on a celebrity look for less entry but I had to stop and ask what you guys think of this Tribal Print Sweater Tunic? As soon as I saw it I felt suffocated and I felt like crying again.

This tribal sweater tunic is supposedly figure-flattering. Don’t get me wrong because I actually like the tribal print but I would prefer it on a maxi dress or a skirt. the turtleneck and long sleeves are just too much for me. This bold graphic works perfectly on something flowy, like I said, a long dress or a knee-length …read more
