This Karen Kane bow-tie embroidered top is not making me jump up and down. I adore bow-tied blouses but only to a point. I like the embroidery details on the sleeves and hem but not the bow-tie on the bust. I think it would look more chic without it. With it on the other hand, it’s just too showy. Dare I say it, even matronly?.

That’s a Libertine Striped Bow Blouse from Target. No offense to the designers Johnson Hartig and Cindy Green who are known for their artful collaboration to create vintage posh and pepster chic but this blouse with big bow tied around the neck won’t be gracing my closet anytime soon. Granted the oversized bow is removable I just don’t see the point of it. I understand they’re trying to maintain their bold approach on their creations but it’s just not my style.
