This Karen Kane bow-tie embroidered top is not making me jump up and down. I adore bow-tied blouses but only to a point. I like the embroidery details on the sleeves and hem but not the bow-tie on the bust. I think it would look more chic without it. With it on the other hand, it’s just too showy. Dare I say it, even matronly?.

What do you guys think, Yay or Nay on the Karen Kane bow-tie blouse? If you vote Yay and want to buy it, it’s on sale for $52.26 at Dillard’s. :)

]]> uggs-1.jpgIt’ll be Fall soon. A little breeze will be felt if you live in US States where the weather drops down when season changes. Then comes Winter. I just feel the need to “educate” my fellow stylish fashionistas to SAY NO TO UGGS. Oh please please please. Here are top 5 reasons why you should say NO to UGGS.

  • You live in Sunny California.
  • You’re not an infant baby girl. They look cute on babies but not so much on grown women.
  • You’ll look like you’re trying too hard to be trendy. Not all trends should be followed.
  • There’s no snow in the ground. Or where you live. EVER. Like the Sunny California.
  • It’s pure and simple, UGGS ARE FUGLY!

PS : We lived in Upstate New York for 8 years. It snowed like hell during Winter. Never once did I wear UGGS.

But if you feel you really must, eh, whatever. :(

No offense to the designers Johnson Hartig and Cindy Green who are known for their artful collaboration to create vintage posh and pepster chic but this blouse with big bow tied around the neck won’t be gracing my closet anytime soon. Granted the oversized bow is removable I just don’t see the point of it. I understand they’re trying to maintain their bold approach on their creations but it’s just not my style. Having that bow around my neck would drive me absolutely insane probably close to death. Blame it in my claustraphobia, heh. Now if the bow was in another color and can be easily turn into a waist belt, then that’s another story :) .
