RODARTE At Target

Target will bring in a 55-piece Rodarte collection come December 20th of 2009 as part of Target’s Go International campaign which will also launch on the same day. Expect affordable prices ranging from $9.99 on knee-highs to $79.99 on jackets.

This limited edition 55-piece collection ends on February 5th 2010 so make sure you get your hands on them before they all disappear.

Natalie Portman and Reese Witherspoon are just some of the famous celebrities who love to wear Rodarte designs. Rodarte just recently won the CFDA award for Womenswear Designer of the Year last June. Who wouldn’t want to own a piece from CFDA winners without breaking the bank.

Jimmy Choo and H&M are introducing the line of shoes, bags, accessories both for Men and Women, plus a clothing line. This special day will come on November 14th 2009. So mark your calendars and keep watching your nearby H&M stores.

I don’t mean to dampen our celebration, but a few high-end designer shoppers are questioning the quality of the line. Some have opined on the onslaught of these huge designers being available to bargain mass retailers. That’s understandable but yah know, being a part of the bargain fashionista “clique” myself, I’d appreciate some kind of happiness that we can finally own Jimmy Choo through H&M. Not all of us can afford or willing to pay $300, $500 or $1000 and up for a pair of shoes from high-end retailers. Especially not in this economy.

So seriously, can’t you just all be happy for us that finally we’ll have Jimmy Choo in our closet? Granted I don’t have an H&M store nearby so I wouldn’t be able to buy one for myself but I’m happy for my fellow bargain fashionistas who could.

Let’s just all be jovial that Jimmy Choo will be at H&M on November 14th. Mark your calendar Ladies.

The rumor is not a rumor anymore. It’s official, Alexander McQueen is designing for Target. Imagine me doing the chicken dance. I’d do a back flip but it’s been a while since I did yoga so it’s hard to bend these days…LOL.

Expect edgy details with studs, and tattoo prints to showcase a rock ‘n’ roll vibe. McQ Alexander McQueen for Target will launch on March 2009.

Woohooooooo.

It’s not official yet, it’s still a rumor but Alexander McQueen might be designing a line that will be sold in our local Target Stores. OMFG indeed!

Like I said, it’s not confirmed yet, VOGUE UK, through WWD reported that the McQueen is in talk with the retailer. Can you imagine owning an Alexander McQueen in your closet, and then sashaying down the aisles of grocery stores, or at the mall? And you didn’t pay freaking $300 or $800 for it? AWESOME!

Would it be too much to ask for this to come true to add on your prayer list? Right after World Peace, End to World Hunger, the Troops safety and TEAM USA wining at the Olympics, of course. .

Even though the initial sales of Lauren Conrad’s clothing line had potential, Kitson decided not to carry it anymore. Yup, Kitson dropped Lauren Conrad. Kitson’s owner also said that The Hills star couldn’t be bothered to make an appearance to promote her own lone. Lauren Conrad’s people claimed conflict on dates. Uh huh. I agree with making an appearance for promotion purposes but maybe one of the biggest reason the sale is “lackluster” coz the line sucks. Even though I like her blue “Christina” dress. Not to mention the prices on Lauren’s line are way too high. Personally, they look like OLD NAVY clothes except with $200 + price tags. Don’t get me wrong, I like Old Navy. I’m just saying.

Maybe drop the prices, find a retailer where regular folks like us could go to and then, SHOW UP at the store even for just a freaking wave. A simple gesture to show you actually care about the people who might be suckered into buying you shit, I mean fashion line. *clears throat*

Look at the bright side, Lauren Conrad could be reuniting with arch nemesis Heidi Montag at Anchor Blue. That is if the retail store is smart enough to put these two together. Talk about sales. *evil smile*

Starting August, Totally Slimming jeans from Signature by Levi Strauss & Co can be purchased at Wal-Mart. Retailing for about $20, Levi’s Totally Slimming Jeans is a figure friendly jeans that won’t hurt your pockets. According to The Wall Street Journal :

The pants were designed to minimize women’s areas of concern — specifically the stomach, thighs and the behind. They include a high-stretch fabric that shapes the leg and “lifts” the bottom, as well as proprietary slimming technology, including a hidden front panel for extra tummy control around the waistband.

“It’s not exactly a girdle, but it does hold you in a little bit more,” says Nancy Hudak, a vice president of merchandising and design at Levi Strauss Signature. The jeans also feature a slim silhouette and bootcut leg that create the illusion of a longer, leaner line.

Remember when Nina Garcia was fired by ELLE like a month ago? The Fashion world was all aghast and some felt doomsday has come upon us. Well guess what, with Project Runway’s next season coming up on July, ELLE went down on their knees (I hope so )and hired Nina Garcia back as ELLE’s Editor-At-Large until September 1st. Here’s what Roberta Myers, Vice President/Editor-in-Chief had to say about it :

“Nina is admired by a large television audience on ‘Project Runway’ who tune in to see Nina and her fellow judges decide who’s in and who’s out. She’s made a real contribution to the program’s success as a top show,”

No kidding, you, hmmmm, nevermind… And here’s what Nina Garcia had to say :

“I’m happy to continue my association with ELLE while focusing on my role on ‘Project Runway.’ I’m also working on my second book which will be out this Fall.”

Since we’re on the topic of ANTM, who is your favorite this cycle? I love Heather. I hope she wins. I like her and Chantall. I’d love to see them duke it out in the finals. Heather is the shy, inexperienced model who is not aware of how strong her beauty is, while Chantall is the experienced model who knows she’s really pretty…LOL. If she’s not careful, she might go home next though. Anyway, I’m rooting for Heather. she pretty much won all the viewers votes every week. Bianca and that other girl whose name escapes me with a coconut head haircut can suck my toes. Hehehehe!
