I was finally able to catch the new season of Project Runway this weekend and who knew I’ve missed it so . The designers challenge was to create a cocktail dress out of eco-friendly fabrics. Which by the way were bought by their respective models. The mystery guest judge was eco-friendly celeb fashionista Natalie Portman. So what does that have to do with Audrina and Heidi?

Well, Nina Garcia uttered the best line I’ve heard on TV last week : “shiny, tight and short is the quickest way to look cheap“.

As soon as she said those words, I instantly wished and hoped that Audrina and Heidi aka The Hills “Bad Girls” watched the episode. Wouldn’t that be awesome.

America’s Next Top Model Cycle 10 Winner Is…

To keep the suspense, I’ll tell you that it was between Anya and Whitney in the end. The 2 models battled it out in the runway wearing Versace gowns. The biggest fashion show finale from ANTM, thus far. So who won? Find out after the fold…Don’t click if you don’t want to know!!

Whitney is America’s Next Top Model Cycle 10 Winner. I am soooo happy. Whitney was not one of my picks when thier headhsots were released. Intertestingly enough, during the entire show, my initial picks ended up annoying the crap out of me..LOL. To quote Tyra Banks after Whitney won :

You’re the first winner who’s got some booty..

It was interesting how the judges were too careful to say “Plus-Size“. I guess the right term these days is “Full-Figured“. To Me, Whitney is just HOT!. Opps, correction, Whitney is HOT and Gorgeous!! Finally, America’s Next Top Model Winner that I agree with. Besides Jazlene .

Oscar’s 2008 Red Carpet Request To E! Host Giuliana Rancic

Oscar’s 2008 is upon us. On Sunday, 24th to be exact. I have one request to E! Host Giuliana Rancic before she steps on that red carpet to ask “what are you wearing?”. PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DO NOT ASK MARRIED/ COUPLES, “WHAT IS THE SECRET?” I had to endure it during SAG Awards, and Grammy’s. It took every patience I have not to reach onto my TV monitor and shake the false eyelashes off of you. Everybody knows you’re married to Apprentice Winner Bill Rancic. YES WE ALL KNOW. You made it a point for us and the celebrities to know. Stop asking what the secret is to happy and long lasting marriage. Hollywood is the last place on earth to ask what the secret is. Hellloooo??? They might be happy this month, but as time has tested, nobody stays married in Hollywood. Well, not all of them. Most importantly and you might want to sit down for this, “THERE IS NO BIG SECRET IN MARRIAGE“. If there is one, there will be no Hollywood divorces or regular folks filing for divorce. Besides, if there is one, which I’m telling you now, there isn’t, what works for other married couples may not work for you and Bill. Different people, different personalities. Other married couple might be swingers or into open relationship. Or a spouse might prefer to stay home to take care of the kids and home front while the other is the breadwinner. Or both want to work, full-time. Or a couple prefer going to separate Churches, or one votes Republican while the other is a Democrat. One couple might not want kids, while others do. Or whatever. Like I said, different strokes for different folks.

Stop putting the celebrities in an awkward place by asking them the “big secret to marriage“. Remember when Star Jones couldn’t stop talking about being engaged at the red carpet? She got fired and replaced by Ryan Seacrest, of all people. You might want to stop robbing your marriage to people’s faces while asking what the big secret is. The last thing we need are clips of you talking about being a newlywed and asking married celebrities the secret and that said celebrities are getting a divorce in 2 years or so. Or worse, you. I hope it doesn’t happen. You and your husband seem like happy people. That would be like putting your 4 inches Jimmy Choo’s in your mouth.

Ok, in short, Stop asking Hollywood Couples the secret to marriage coz there isn’t one. Who am I kidding, it’s probably the next question you’ll ask after, “who are you wearing?”. I might as well stock up on Whisky and Diet Coke. Cheers!

Sarah Jessica Parker’s BITTEN On Project Runway

Sarah Jessica Parker assigning contestant to create something for her clothing line BITTEN under Steve and Barry’s was the first episode I caught of this season’s Project Runway. I admit, I have been neglectful on catching up with Heidi and Tim, heh. It was quite a challenge for the designers ‘coz they had to spend $15 on materials to create 2-piece outfit that costs only $40. I’ve been to 2 Steve and Barry’s store. Once in Upstate New York during our vacation this year and one time here in NC. The nearest Steve and Barry’s store is like 35 minutes drive away. So I have an idea of how BITTEN line looks like. I’ve bought some of them. Albeit my first day of wearing the BITTEN red canvas sneaker was a little “firey”, when I visit Steve and Barry’s again, I’d certainly buy more of Sarah Jessica Parker’s clothing line and other stuff from Steve and Barry’s of course.

Anyway, when the designers started showing their sketches to SJP, I was really nervous for them. They were all too elaborate and was afraid it didn’t fit the BITTEN line. After all the drama in the sewing room, I actually only liked a couple of designs.

The second outfit won. A neck tie trapeze dress and a shrunken vest. It’s from Victorya which I knew instantly would win coz it was chic and I could see Sarah Jessica Parker actually wearing it. I’m looking forward to my next trip to Steve and Barry’s to check out the winning piece. I might even buy it for myself. America’s Next Top Model Cycle 10 New Judge, Paulina Porizkova Replaces Twiggy

America’s Next Top Model Cycle 9 is not over yet but Cycle 10 is already being planned. Well, judge-wise anyway. Due to Twiggy’s schedule problems, she won’t be coming back for ANTM season 10. Replacing her is equally beautiful supermodel, one of the most beautiful women on my list by the way, Paulina Porizkova. Oh I love her. Her beauty is eternal. And I don’t say that about anyone else famous. Well besides Marilyn Monroe. I’m looking forward to watching her every Wednesday dishing it out with Tyra, Ms. Jay and Nigel.

Since we’re on the topic of ANTM, who is your favorite this cycle? I love Heather. I hope she wins. I like her and Chantall. I’d love to see them duke it out in the finals. Heather is the shy, inexperienced model who is not aware of how strong her beauty is, while Chantall is the experienced model who knows she’s really pretty…LOL. If she’s not careful, she might go home next though. Anyway, I’m rooting for Heather. she pretty much won all the viewers votes every week. Bianca and that other girl whose name escapes me with a coconut head haircut can suck my toes. Hehehehe!
