I love the pink cardigan, over layers of grey and teal tank tops from Maisonwares. The touch of color from her necklace is beautiful. She finished it off with a pink PAYLESS sneakers. It’s such a beautiful casual jeans get up. I love it.

Broke and Beautiful tagged me with this Meme way back in November but the pingback just showed in my Dashboard last night so I apologize for doing it this late. So 7 “secrets” about me, hmmmmm. I’ll keep it short and sweet

1. I’m a self-taught web designer.

2. I love to scrapbook.

3. On the sporadic times that I wear socks to bed coz it’s freaking cold I can’t keep ‘em both on while sleeping. One is always off when I wake up in the morning.

4. I’d go lesbian for Kate Beckinsale. Errrr what?? That so came out of nowhere. LOL! Maybe for a day. I actually like being straight .

5. Tequila shots make me veeewy veeeewy happy.

6. If I’m rich, besides doing good things with my money of course, I’d start a new TV Network similar to MTV. Except my network will ACTUALLY show music videos. Reality Shows will be banned. Hah!

7. Pork dishes make me veeewy veeewy veeewy happy. I’ll eat it everyday if I could.

Spring Sale Shopping @ SEARS. $4.99 Dresses, etc

I LOOOOOOOOVE it when SEARS has their $4.99 Clearance Sale. I once raked in Apostrophe skirts and Canyon River Blues jeans for $4.99 each. Well, the store is having those sales again so I took advantage of them this past weekend. I didn’t go all crazy though. I had to think whether the “trend” for next year’s Spring/Summer season will match the stuff I bought. So I got a couple of dresses that fits that criteria. I saw some skirts I wanted too but they were too big. Dammit. I might have been too late in getting my hand on these awesome bargains. Crap… LOL.

My Own Affair W/ [Bargain] Dresses

I’m following(copying, whatever )in Sasha’s footsteps and declare my own love affair with dresses. Next to shoes(except sneakers and flats), I go insane over dresses. Classics, prints, different fabrics/cuts/styles, bring ‘em all. I wear it during Spring/Summer season with heels and wedges and during Fall/Winter with my knee-high boots. I have my own collection, albeit shoes takes more precedence, I’m slowly getting there in having quite a reasonable selection. In this inset picture(I cropped my hubby’s picture out), I’m wearing a black halter print dress that I found at AAFES years ago for less than $20 I think. I’ve covered it with a Metro7 velvet gray 3/4 sleeves shrug from Walmart, on sale for $3, since it was a cold day in December of last year when I wore it. Stilettos in December, yet cold? Well, that’s the benefit of living in North Carolina. You would still feel the winter cold without running into snow which is AWE-SOME. We’ve lived in NY for 8 years therefore winter without snow in NC is like eating a huge slice of devil’s chocolate cake topped with dollops of whipped cream and a cherry on top. Uh huh. FYI, this picture was taken 4 months post-baby. I’ve lost quite a few more pounds since then. Plus sexy bangs to boot. Just thought I’d throw that in there .

Now on to some of my dresses I picked for this entry…

Plum Halter-Tube Eyelet Dress
I dugged this among the great bargains at ROSS. It was tagged $3.99. I absolutely love the color and you just can’t beat that price. This is the dress I casually mentioned when I showed you my picks from Clothez 2 The Edge store. It has a cord tie-belt around the waist. I haven’t worn it yet coz I’ve reserved it for our vacation in NY at the end of this month.

Multicolor Flower Print Tube Dress
There is a blue rose pin and blue ribbon to accentuate this lovely printed tube dress. This is perfect for a garden wedding party or at Church with a white cropped shrug. If I remember it right, I paid $12 for it from AAFES. The same year I bought the black printed halter dress above.

Tan Brown V-Neck Polka-Dot Wrap Dress
This is the tan version of the black polka-dot dress I found from Goody’s for only $4.99. The original price was $30 so it’s definitely a STEAL. I like to have the same things in different colors so when I saw this tan brown color 2 months after I bought the black version I was smiling for ear to ear .

Style It Less Fashionista : Graphic Tee, ON Jeans and Stilettos

If I’m not in dresses and heels(wedges), I’m wearing jeans and graphic tees and stilettos (or wedge, platform flip flops). Here I am today in my new OLD NAVY long dark-wash boot cut jeans($14.99), L.E.I graphic tee with ruched sides at the hem that I found at AAFES(military department store) last Memorial Day sale for only $4.25. It used to be $17. STEAL!. Black “buckle” stilettos from another AAFES store back when we used to live in NY, $12.

I cuffed the ends of the jeans by the way ‘coz they’re just too long. I don’t want to trip over ‘em with my stilettos, yah know .

The Italian nomination link charms bracelet is probably the most expensive item in this ensemble. Small charms cost about $6 each while the big square ones were $10. I collected these like 3 years ago. As you can see in the “I *heart* My Mom* square, the “heart* is gone. The paint has washed off through the years. So yes, ignore the bracelet..LOL. The whole thing probably costs close to $100 if not more. It’s a timely piece since it represents ME, and my family .Anyhooo, the other tan wood and beads bracelet was only $1. The heart shaped pendant necklace colorful crystal studs was a gift from Krisa. Sterling silver hoop earrings for my ears. The black sunnies was $5 I think. I can’t remember anymore. But I know it’s a cheap one from somewhere I also can’t remember. I’m having a “Mommy Brain” right now. I apologize.

Nevertheless, I look good, Hah.

SIL Fashionista : Summer White Dress W/ Brown Accents

Yup, that’s MOI, wearing one of my new white summer dresses. Like I said, I wouldn’t be a bona fide bargain fashionista if I don’t show you my own stylish bargains adorning my body. I wouldn’t want you guys to think I’m just taking pictures of shopping haulages then turn around and sell them on Ebay, LOL . Well unless of course I don’t like it or it doesn’t fit me . Anyhooo, the white dress is from WalMart, for $13.

Marbled beads necklace, $1 from a flea market. Brown wide bangle bracelet from WalMart, $4.99 I think. I’ve had it for yeas so I can’t remember now. I apologize. I’m pretty sure it’s less than $5 though. I need to buy a new watch to adorn my left wrist but until then I’m been wearing bracelets so I don’t feel naked on that wrist. This wood strand is $1. Cylinder gold earrings from Claire’s. A free gift from when my daughter had her ears pierced. YAY. Mossimo 2-toned brown and black wedge from TARGET, $12.

The overall cost of this summer white dress with brown accents ensemble is $31.99.
