]]> ConsumerReports.org conducted a very important bra investigation ;) recently and you’d be surprised(or not) but definitely happy to know that Cheap Bras Are The Best!

So how exactly did Consumer Reports did their research? Well, they bought 3 different brand of bras, similar styles(seamless, with lightly padded cups) and sizes(34B). CR handwashed the bras 3 times, and gave it to 3 women each wears 34B bra sizes. They also had experts and a lingerie designer to check the construction of the bras. Here are the results :

la-perla-bra La Perla Vintage, $127 :  The bra, sold at several high-end stores, boasts top-quality materials, nicely contoured cups, and flexible, well-padded underwire that won’t cut into skin. But after three gentle hand-washes, the elastic material in the back twisted and curled, and stitching on straps puckered.

victorias-secret-bra Victoria’s Secret Ipex demi, $45 : It has cozy fabric and cups that provide coverage without bulk. But the underwire may pinch, since fabric around it is thinner than in others, and strap stitching is flimsy. Poor cut of the fabric on sides made it pucker, and the straps curled in the wash.

 

gilligan-omalley-bra Gilligan & O’Malley padded demi, $11 : Bra-vo! It has better cup molding than the Victoria’s Secret bra; the underwire is flexible and well padded, so it won’t pinch or poke. This bra (sold at Target) also held up better after washing. All three panelists found it comfortable, with a good fit.

There you go. If you think spending $100 or more on a bra will make you feel better, physically and financially, think again. :) .

]]> pink-babydoll-lingerie.jpgI Love Lingeries. They’re my choice of sleepwear besides boy shorts and tank tops. The only time I wear velour pajama pants is when it’s really really cold. Like dead winter. But Yes, Lingerie is one of my favorite things in life :) . I usually buy them at Victoria Secret or at AAFES. When I picked up the purple blouse from CATO 3 days ago, I saw this pink babydoll sheer lingerie on the clearance rack so I got curious and checked it out. It was on sale for $4.99 down from it’s original price of $17.99. It would’ve been stupid of me to walk away from it, right? So I grabbed the Medium one and with the purple blouse on the other hand, I was off to the cashier. Yes, hubs loved it ;) .

By the way, I just realized I’ve only posted 1 under the category of Intimate Apparels. I apologize. I’ll try to post more from now on. Intimates can be a little expensive so if I could find bargains for all of us that would be really cool eh? I find stylish clothes, shoes and accessories in bargains, I’m sure I’ll find lingeries, undies and bras as well. I found this pink babydoll lingerie, didn’t I? :)

I LOVE THONGS(so does my hubby, on me ;) ) ! No panty lines here, that’s for sure. This blue satin with ruffles trim also has emroidered and rhinestones details. For $7.99?, give me one for each day :) .

Too bad the store didn’t have this “molded” bra with dainty stripes in my size(36C). $9.99 is a good price for a bra that provides the seamless look. Oh well. If you wear a 32B or a 28B then you’re lucky :) .
