Miss America Kirsten Haglund’s Charmeuse Bubble Dress On Sale

When I saw this picture of Miss America Kirsten Haglund, I knew I’ve seen her dress before. I just couldn’t pinpoint where. I liked the dress, specifically the rosettes detail on the neck when I first saw it somewhere which is why I remember it so vividly. After wracking my brain for a few minutes I decided to check out one of my usual online stops for brand names on sale and guess what? I found the dress. If I’m not mistaken it’s ABS by Allen Schwartz Charmeuse Dress. Lucky for you guys, it’s on sale. It used to be $298, but is now on sale for $177.90. AWESOME!!! I loved this gray belted dress that Madonna wore at the Gucci charity event she collaborated on with the designer earlier this month. I’ve wanted something similar but affordable ever since I saw it and I finally found one. Lucky you . Madonna’s gray belted dress for less after the fold….

It’s not exactly like Madonna’s dress what with the fabric, neckline and sleeves differences but it’s pretty close. The idea is in it, know what I mean? It’s from Calvin Klein and is on sale for $46.90.

Inspired by the hype from movie 27 Dresses with Grey’s Anatomy star Katherine Heigl, I figured why not find beautiful and affordable bridesmaid dresses. They do exist you know, and here they are. They’re actually the same dresses, just in different colors. I actually like different colors for bridesmaid dresses. The bridesmaids get to choose what color they love for a little personalization. Kinda like when I was a bridesmaid to my bestfriend’s wedding in San Diego. I picked my favorite blue(kinda like the 2nd dress here), someone else picked lavender, another one picked seafoam green, and the last one picked peach. It was a pastel colors theme. The bride wore white of course . The whole event was beautiful. Anyhoooo, here are the dresses…

Satin Dress, Cerise. $29.99. Size 14.

Satin Dress, Blue. Sizes 6, 10 and 14.

Satin Dress, Periwinkle. Depends on the sizes, you can also get this in sage, light brown.

So if you happened to be part of a wedding entourage this year, why not suggest these dresses to the bride. They’re gorgeous and they wouldn’t necessarily cost that much. Not at all, what am I talking about..:)

Should we get the blue or amethyst color of this beautiful JS Boutique Sleeveless Beaded Mesh Dress? I happen to like both color. Blue is my favorite while purple is the bold color making raves that I happen to love these days. I think this beaded mesh dress with ruched bodice and iridescent bugle beads could easily fall under the ballerina chic that iVillage has guided us for 2008 Fashion. Georgeous Tadashi Print Silk Chiffon Dress on sale for $85.90. It used to be $308. This is perfect for Summer and Spring. The regal color is divalicious . This is kind of dress that should stand the test of time. Meaning, 5 years from now, you’d still be able to wear it without worrying about whether it will match the trend for that particular year. Granted of course you stay size 10, 12 or 14. If you successfully reach your 2008 New Year resolution like what my friends and I are trying to accomplish over at Burning The Scale, well you can always get it altered or sell on Ebay.
