Getting Ready For Fall 2008 | Fall ‘07 Looks

It’s Fall already? Well not quite. We still got about a month to go but I’m pretty sure you ladies are already gearing up for it. I enjoyed Fall season last year coz I was able to transition summer outfits onto the season with Fall twists. With North Carolina’s weather, I could pretty much come up with outfits and not worry about freezing my ass off too much unlike Upstate New York which we lived in for 8 years. Fall and Winter in New York is different from Fall and Winter in NC, or California. You can actually wear heeled knee-high boots without falling flat on your butt due to snow, if you know that I mean .

Anyway, I’m trying to gather my thoughts, and files for Fall/Winter so please bear with me. I’m trying to “organize” myself. I also have Back-To-School to get ready for with my 5th grader and my daughter is turning 2 this Monday (BBQ party this Sunday). So Yes, everything is hectic.

While I do this, let me show some of my Fall looks last year.

WOW, I didn’t realize I had too many Fall looks featured here. I went all out. Now I’m looking forward creating more Fall outfits. This “lookbook” kinda inspired to do more.

Bargain Shopping : Red & White Polka-Dot Smocked Top

Here’s the last item from my bargain shopping 2 weekends ago. I found this red & white polka dot smocked tube top from CATO. On sale for $9.99. The picture makes it look too bright. Trust me, it’s not that bright . I’d probably wear this with shorts and with jeans come early Fall. I love polka dots.

A light weight brown abstract print smocked dress was just the perfect dress yesterday when we went out for lunch, flea market browsing and some bargain shopping. It was so hot. The temperature I mean . My tan brown croc CalLa Bag certainly matched the brown color Scheme I was going for. It didn’t look too Fall-ish, did it? Breakdown of my under $100 look after the fold…

Fruitlolita mixed this yellow floral smocked dress with a black top underneath. I never in a million years could’ve thought of doing this. I would cover up my shoulders with a solid shrug but never like this. I love learning new fashion tricks. Don’t you? Paired with black flats, and she’s casual chic for the day.

The List Maven asked what’s in my purse so here I am bravely showing it to everyone. I actually made a video of it but Vista has been such a pain in letting me upload it to YouTube. Bargain Shopping : My Michelle Embroidered Top

After seeing Reese Witherspoon’s black and white embroidered top I really wanted one for myself. A friend directed me to Old Navy but the embroidered top was only available in XL sizes . So I figured I’d wait. Well, it turned out I didn’t have to wait that long. I saw my black and white embroidered top from PX(military dept store) yesterday.

My Michelle Black and White embroidered top with cap sleeves on sale for $15. I could’ve waited for it to go on 75% off sale but the chances of me owning it in my size at a later date would be zilch since there were only 2 available. In sizes S and L. So I didn’t have a choice but to get it then .

White Smocked Dress & Floral Green Espadrille, Under $35 Look

There’s a funny story about this Breakin’ Loose White Spaghetti straps Smocked dress. I didn’t know I had it…LOL. I was setting bags aside in my room yesterday so the Hubs could vacuum and run the carpet cleaner when I came upon a bag from Goody’s. I was surprised to find this white smocked dress. Suffice it to say, I wore it when we went out to run some errands .
