Ashley Judd teal smocked short sleeves with keyhole-tie top. It used to be $25 but I only paid $9.96. This teal top would look beautiful with the white jeans and any of my denim jeans for that matter.

I wish the prices were lower since it’s a going out of business sale anyway, but oh well. I’ll see if I could dig for more when I go back there before Goody’s completely disappears. I hope you do as well .

Now that Goody’s is going out of business I figured I might as well take advantage of it. I said the store has brand names in affordable items but I do think they need to lower their sale prices further. If they really want to get rid of their stuff, they need to slash more off of the original prices. There are still a lot left because with how the economy is going, shoppers are not willing to pay $25 on a top if they could easily get the same thing at TJMaxx or Ross for $10 or $5. Just a thought.

Having said that, after digging through a LOT of racks, I found an Ashley Judd Flare White jeans.

This Ashley Judd white jeans is regularly priced at $39 but I only paid $13 for it. I wish it was lower like $10 since Goody’s is going out of business anyway. What can I say, I wish for bargains too much . Oh well, $13 is a good price. I’m looking forward to wearing this white jeans soon. Most probably in the Spring and Summer. I also found an Ashley Judd Teal top that would go nicely with this. I’ll talk about that some other time.

If you have Goody’s in your area, check it out now before everything disappears. I’d probably visit the 2 stores near me sometime before they close. I’m biding my time. I’m trying to wait ’till everything are like less than $10 (LOL).

When I stepped into the shoe section of TJMaxx, I was actually hoping I’d find a pair of black gladiator pumps. I didn’t. But I saw this pair of Unlisted d’orsay bow peep-toe pumps with a $10 price tag and I was hooked. I couldn’t put it down. I actually saw it a few weeks ago online while browsing around for sales I could feature here. I thought to myself, “oh that is soooo cute but soooo NOT me“. How so? Well, the floral print is funky for my style. The only printed heels I have are animal prints. I do have floral print wedges which I don’t mind at all.

For some reason I just could not put it down. I love how “funky” it is. Simultaneously, I had visions of solid color dresses, AND, top with jeans outfits with this shoes on, respectively while trying to decide whether I should get it or the classic $15 Nine West black pumps instead. The “funky” one won. There was a black version but this red color appealed to me most. If you happen to like this Unlisted d’Orsay bow peep-toe pumps in floral print too, it’s $10 at TJMAXX.

I have to take care of myself too, you know? . I bought this Suzi Chin twist front charmeuse dress from Smart Bargains on sale for $79.99.

You’re probably wondering about the color. Our last year’s Christmas Picture theme was red and white. I wore a white dress with red cardigan and red pumps. This year I decided to have a winter blue theme. That’s why I bought a blue dress. We’re not doing the quintessential red, white or green this time around. That’s what everybody is going to be doing, besides those ugly looking Christmas decorated sweaters. Oh My Gosh, perish the thought.

Back to the Suzi Chin dress, as the picture shows, it’s silk charmeuse with V-neck and slight ruching on the bustline. I was so excited when my dress came in the mail. I tried it on right away and oh my gosh, the charmeuse silk is on my body felt glorious. Not to mention glam and elegant.

I’m looking forward to wearing it for our pictures, at Church and probably at our Christmas dinner. Plus, any special occasion in the future.

Red Tunic with built in belt for $9.99 from CATO. I tried to avoid the “front pockets” style as much as I could. the reason being, if there are pockets, it’s inevitable that I’ll put stuff in ‘em. I was saving myself from getting into that habit.  But, I saw this red tunic, I couldn’t resist anymore.  I love the deep red color and surprisingly, the front pockets with huge buttons. The latter details that I’ve tried so hard to avoid are what attracted me to this top. Figures, LOL.

I haven’t worn it yet but I’m planning on wearing it with my black pinstripes trousers and most probably jeans. Shoes? Heels of course.

I’ll let you know if I eventually stuff the pockets. I’m going to try my best not to .

This Soda Shoes brown faux suede wedge boots ($24) is the second pair of boots I bought from Cutesy Girl. I wasn’t really sure about venturing out to wedge boots at first. But after doing some google on celebrities (one of them is Jennifer Aniston) wearing wedge boots and seeing a pair DKNY wedge boots, AND, talking to a friend about it, I decided to go for it.

I really REALLY wanted to get the black pair but since 8 1/2 wasn’t available in the other pair of boots that I picked, brown was it for this style.

Now that I have new boots, it’s time to pick outfits .

In my quest to find a new pair of black knee-high boots, I stumbled upon this pair of Wild Diva with metal grommet studs on the side boots ($15) from Cutesy Girl. This was after 2 days of frustration from not having luck on the other pairs I liked from different stores. Either they weren’t available or they weren’t on my size. I actually preferred the brown color pair but as the story of my life goes, my size wasn’t available. Geez, does everyone wear 8 1/2 in the US?

Because of that I decided to get it in black and just find another style of boots in brown. Yes, I was determined to find 2 pairs, black and brown in one store to save shipping. By the way, I turned to online shopping after checking out my favorite shoe stores with no success. As much as I resisted ordering boots online, without trying it on, I caved and crossed my fingers. The last time I bought a pair of shoes online was 3 or 4 years ago on Ebay. It was a pair of boots also .

Trench Coat is undoubtedly one of the Fall must-haves. When you buy one, not only do you need to think of the style and comfort it’ll give you, longevity is also a major factor. A trench coat should at least last you a few years. If you have to spend about $100, or more if you prefer, you should. Lucky for us, this Tommy Hilfiger double-breasted trench coats are on sale for $64.99. Khaki is of course the classic color but thanks to Victoria Beckham, white has become such a chic trench coat color also. So for an Early Fall coat, why not get this one. It’ll also transition well towards early Spring. Plus with that price, you just can’t beat it.
