RODARTE Is Coming To TARGET

Great news, my dear bargain fashionistas. RODARTE is coming to TARGET. Designer sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy will be introducing RODARTE to a wider and mass-appeal retail store consumers.

RODARTE At Target

Target will bring in a 55-piece Rodarte collection come December 20th of 2009 as part of Target’s Go International campaign which will also launch on the same day. Expect affordable prices ranging from $9.99 on knee-highs to $79.99 on jackets.

This limited edition 55-piece collection ends on February 5th 2010 so make sure you get your hands on them before they all disappear.

Natalie Portman and Reese Witherspoon are just some of the famous celebrities who love to wear Rodarte designs. Rodarte just recently won the CFDA award for Womenswear Designer of the Year last June. Who wouldn’t want to own a piece from CFDA winners without breaking the bank.

The rumor is not a rumor anymore. It’s official, Alexander McQueen is designing for Target. Imagine me doing the chicken dance. I’d do a back flip but it’s been a while since I did yoga so it’s hard to bend these days…LOL.

Expect edgy details with studs, and tattoo prints to showcase a rock ‘n’ roll vibe. McQ Alexander McQueen for Target will launch on March 2009.

Woohooooooo.

It’s not official yet, it’s still a rumor but Alexander McQueen might be designing a line that will be sold in our local Target Stores. OMFG indeed!

Like I said, it’s not confirmed yet, VOGUE UK, through WWD reported that the McQueen is in talk with the retailer. Can you imagine owning an Alexander McQueen in your closet, and then sashaying down the aisles of grocery stores, or at the mall? And you didn’t pay freaking $300 or $800 for it? AWESOME!

Would it be too much to ask for this to come true to add on your prayer list? Right after World Peace, End to World Hunger, the Troops safety and TEAM USA wining at the Olympics, of course. .

I’m a brave woman for taking a picture of myself after nursing a 4-day bug-bitten-swollen face. Granted I was wearing sunnies so you couldn’t really see my face but it’s all good and I have my beautiful face(no make-up) back . Anyhooo, I wore this yesterday when we went out for a family dinner.

SIL Nay Lister : Take That Bow Somewhere Else

That’s a Libertine Striped Bow Blouse from Target. No offense to the designers Johnson Hartig and Cindy Green who are known for their artful collaboration to create vintage posh and pepster chic but this blouse with big bow tied around the neck won’t be gracing my closet anytime soon. Granted the oversized bow is removable I just don’t see the point of it. I understand they’re trying to maintain their bold approach on their creations but it’s just not my style. Having that bow around my neck would drive me absolutely insane probably close to death. Blame it in my claustraphobia, heh. Now if the bow was in another color and can be easily turn into a waist belt, then that’s another story .

When I asked you ladies to keep your paws off of size 8 I was serious. Thank You for honoring my request . It’s supposed to be $14.99 plus taxes and shipping it came out to $21 but because I had a $10 certificate that my husband couldn’t decide what to use for I’ve decided to use it for myself. In the end, I paid $11 for this pair of orgasmic Mossimo Zebra Peep-Toe Pumps from Amazon.com.

I’ve been waiting for it for a week. As soon as I heard the mail lady at my doorstep I knew my peep-toe pumps were here. Then she handed me the red box with the Target logo tape and really tried hard to hold back my excitement.

One would do, but a couple would be great . Owning a Little Black Dress is a staple rule in every fashionistas world. After Coco Chanel created one in 1926, VOUGE predicted it would be the “uniform” for all women of taste. In 1961, Audrey Hepburn stamped her trademark on the concept when she wore an LBD on the opening scene of one of my favorite classic movies; Breakfast At Tiffany’s. Fast forward to 2007, it has become a classic piece of dress that every women cling to when in need of a dress for any occasion. Granted we are sometimes tantalized by the beauty of prints and colors which is never a bad thing, but nothing beats the stylish aura that the little black dress invokes from any woman that walks into a room looking all chic and sophisticated.

I have a few. I even found one for $5. Yup, I got lucky. An LBD doesn’t have to cost too much. I do suggest you splurge on a really classic one though if you could. But don’t shy away from the affordable options coz there are many out there that won’t hurt your budget at all. Here is one I found at Target for only $29.99 by Isaac Mizrahi.

It’s twill with spaghetti straps, V-neck and tulle netting underskirt for added volume. You know what else I love about this dress besides the price? It’s the detail on the back skirt. It’s pleated. A classic Little Black Dress with a touch of playfulness for $29.99.
