Bargain Shopping : Meet My Yellow Bag

I have been wanting a yellow tote since summer of last year. I just never got the courage to actually buy one. Yellow is a fun color but it’s also hard to “match” it with most of my daily outfits. I know I would be able to work it with a few but I still wasn’t willing to pay too much for something I’ll occasionally carry around.

Those thoughts have kept me from buying a yellow bag that I’ve actually forgotten about it. Until a week ago or so. I was at CATO and getting ready to pay for the bargains I found for myself when at the back of the cashier is a bag shelf which said “Clearance”. And on it is a lone yellow bag that called for my name. I hesitated for so long that the Cashier has finished ringing up my loot until I finally decided to get it.

This Yellow Tote from CATO was on sale for only $13. I figured since I wouldn’t be carrying a yellow bag around that much, a medium-sized one with a bargain who actually looks gorgeous would do. I love how the top overlaps to hide the zipper. I also love the black trims with the thick chains adorning the bag. The yellow color is not too bright. It’s actually more like a pastel yellow so it doesn’t hurt the eyes at all.

Wouldn’t you know it, I just bought a black belted trench dress that I know would look nicely with my new $13 yellow bag. I’ll talk about the dress some other time. It the meantime, how do you like my yellow bag?

I ♥ heart this yellow vanessa patent leather boston tote from Accessory Bug.
