And wouldn’t you know it, the dark denim also comes in a lighter version. What’s even more disturbing about these denim boots are the elastic fabric knit top. Don’t get me wrong because I do love denim for jeans, skirts, and jackets. However, I find these denim boots really fugly. The idea alone doesn’t give me the feeling of going to the store to get myself a pair before everyone else buy it. Interestingly enough I have about 5 celebrities whom I think would actually go gaga for denim boots. Take a guess if you want after you let me know if you think denim knee-high-boots are Yay or Nay on the comment box. If you say Yay then bless your hears, and here’s the link to buy it.

New Balance 410

I do Tae-Bo, Hip Hop Dances as well as Latin Dances. I also do Pilates but I go barefoot when I do that. With Tae-Bo and various dances, I have to wear sneakers. We have wooden floors in our new house so I can’t wear dancing heels when doing the Latin dances even though I would like to. My husband would kill me .

Sneakers on the other hand are the safest and comfortable sneakers at the same time. New Balance 410 is part of the Lifestyle collection. It is by far the most comfortable work-out shoes I’ve worn. It’s lightweight overall. The rubber outsoles has great traction without scratching my wooden floors. I can move and bend my toes and feel comfortable all day. Style wise, it boasts a leather and textile uppers with suede detailing. It’s a comfortable pair of sneakers with a trendy flair to also wear with jeans or shorts on casual days for errands.

One negative thing about it is that you might have to buy a half-size larger. I don’t wear socks with my size 8.5 coz it’ll feel bulky and might restrict me from moving a lot. It’s still comfortable sans the socks though so I have no problem going without at all. If you prefer to wear socks however, then I suggest you buy a half-size larger.

For an early Fall ensemble, try a deep colored ruffled top underneath a gray bomber jacket, with sequined skirt and the riding boots. No need for tights coz it’s not that cold yet.

The riding boots would also go nicely over skinny jeans paired with a floral top, accented with a fringe scarf and bold necklace.

How cute is this black and white floral dress underneath a boyfriend blazer with textured tights and the riding boots? Layered silvertone necklaces complements the ensemble.

Riding boots and Boho Style sounds interesting, no?. I have never really thought of it until now. The folksy top is used as a tunic dress over black tights with a cardigan and a belt cinching the waist which looks really fabulous if I say so myself. Not that I would ever consider tights as pants but if the tunic is long enough then why not, right? Finish it with gold-tone wrap around head band and layered necklaces to achieve the Boho-Chic look.

Belted bong cardigan with a wide belt over a plaid ruffled top paired with skinny jeans tucked into a pair of riding boots. Nicely done. It’s definitely a good way to accent a plaid top without having an overwhelmed look. It gives the plaid top a subtle yet sophisticated vibe.

I’m really not into this tattered jeans trend but if you are, since I can’t force you not to be into it, here’s a cute way to wear it with riding boots. A bright colored long sleeves shirt underneath a belted tribal print top. All the colors and prints coming from the top add colors to the black riding boots. Just don’t show up wearing this ensemble for a job interview or an internship. Just a friendly-fashion suggestion of course.

Take the long sleeves folksy top, wear it with a pair of skinny jeans then slip on the riding boots. This is another chic way to wear the tunic dress and the skinny jeans tucked inside the riding boots. Add a boho head accessory for a boho-folksy look.

Forever21 Flower Patch Dress

The neckline is too low and it doesn’t seem to have a good support for the bust. The model pretty much served as a hanger for the dress. I’m sure you have heard that kind of reference in the fashion industry before. The dress is really cute and I guess it will work with people who are not as boobsy like me, heh. So, if you have that kind of body frame, then lucky you. I hope you enjoy the dress. It’s 29.80 from Forever21.

Box Pleat Bubble Dress

OK, while I may not actually wear this Box Pleat Bubble Dress ($27.80), I think it would still look better for a woman in her late 20’s if it’s a little longer. Right? It would be a cute cocktail dress for sure.

Lace Front Satin Dress

If they cut the satin fabric on the skirt a little bit longer, and added more of the peeking tulle underneath, this Lace Front Satin Dress ($22.80) would be such a fun and elegant Little Black Dress perfect for a party.

Studded Empire Dress

How gorgeous are the pleated detailing on the hips and the studded empire-waist from this Studded Empire Dress ($39)? Again, if it was a little bit longer this would look so elegant, chic and sophisticated for a woman like me in her 30’s.

Ahhh, oh well. I guess we can’t have all the pretty dresses, right?

Harem Pants : Yay or Nay??

Sorry but unless you’re one of the contestants on So You Think You Can Dance, Harem Pants are just freaking ugly. I could understand it’s sort of comfortable that’s perfect for dance performances. It could be edgy with embellishments. But other than that, I don’t know how anyone else who could justify wearing a loose crotch and tight knees or leg area on a daily basis. You’d look like you’re wearing a full diaper inside your pants. Please, let’s not fool ourselves.

MC Hammer made it ok as a dance pants way back when “Cant Touch This” was a hit but life moved on and so has the Harem Pants all the way to the oblivion. Please, don’t bring it back again.

Around the neck. Tie it in a bow OR wear it long. Please ignore the top I’m wearing. I just wanted to illustrate the scarf in a bow. Although the long way worked with the top perfectly.

Scarf As A Belt

Use the scarf as a belt. It looks fun and flirty.

Scarf : Tie It In Your Bag

Tie the scarf in your bag. You don’t need to put your scarf away during the Summer. Use it to accessorize your handbag.

Another way to wear a scarf is turning it into a head band or bandana. My head is too big so I am never successful in pulling that off therefore I’ve given up a few years go. If you have other ways in wearing a scarf, please let us know .

I’m a Mom of 2, a 10 yr old boy and 2yr old girl. Look at the pictures above, I’m wearing Chuck’s . I also have a pair of the black hi-top Black Sabbath Converse sneakers (5th picture). I’m still pining over a pink pair, and the low top white “The Doors”. AND, I would definitely love to get a pair from the Pink Floyd collection as soon as it’s out. I don’t mean to put Joni and her daughter on the spot but Yes, Mother DO wear Chucks. It’s the only canvas sneakers I wear as a matter of fact. I’m not a sneakers (only when working out) kind of girl but I’d rock a Converse Chuck Taylor, anytime .

I do need to visit my hair stylist to get my bangs trimmed and layer the ends of my hair again. I’ll do that soon. I want longer layers this time around so I’m trying to grow my hair longer even more.

I fell in love with this London Times Tiered Dress as soon as I saw it from Dillard’s.  See, tiered dresses are very flattering to my body. I don’t have a six pack abs. I’ve discovered through the years that tiered/ruffled styles help out in hiding my little bumps here and there. While some people could get lost with the trends in fashion, it’s important to learn what works with your body.

I’m not saying you should have the body like the girls from "The Hills" or "Gossip Girls" to wear fashionable , stylish, or trendy clothes. Not at all. What I’m trying to say is, find the right fit for you. The major fashion crime around is following the trends without thinking about how it would fit the body. Bondage dresses worked for me when I didn’t have children. 2 kids later, empire waist dresses or the tiered dress above are now the cuts of dresses I clamor for.

Ok, enough with my "preaching". I’m sure you already know all that stuff. Now back to the London Times Tiered Dress. It’s on sale for $48 in sizes 4 to 14. Yay!. Wear it with black heels or wedges once the weather warms up a bit. Like around spring or summer .
