This is Wild Diva Gathered Pumps in navy blue. I have been wanting a pair of navy blue pumps for a while now so when I saw that these pair is on sale for $14.99 I said, “hey, now is the time to get one”. It actually looks better in person than the pictures. It has a satin round-toe and gathered design on the front.

I actually wanted either the fuchsia or turquoise colors of this Breckelle Pancy Strappy Sandal. But neither color have my size. I really like the strappy cage-like style and since I don’t have a pair of gold tone shoes I figured, I might as well. The sale price of $8.99 certainly convinced me even more. Good thing I bought it then coz now the size is gone. Maybe I purchased the last one, wheww.

Besides navy blue, I have also been drooling over purple colored pumps and stilettos. Every time I see one I get really tempted to buy it but I somehow managed to stop myself. I keep telling myself that a purple pair of shoes would be hard to pair with something unless I’m going to a wedding. However, the mismatching trend is the new black nowadays so to speak so I finally gave in. Besides, giving up that $11.99 sale price would have been stupid, no? The rhinestone decor on the front and the pleating on the back are just BEAUTIFUL. My feet look beautiful with them on too.

And finally, the black patent pee-toe pumps from Wild Diva as well. This was on sale for $17.99 and good thing I got it then coz I can’t find the shoes on the website anymore. A pair of black pumps goes with everything so if you don’t have one yet, get a pair now.

If you are wondering about the qualities of shoes from stores like UrbanOG, of course it’s nothing compare to Christian Louboutin or Manolo’s but not all of us can afford those. I’m not going to be wearing any of these pair of shoes everyday. Therefore I am able to take care of my shoes and make them last for a while. With these new addition in my shoes collection I’ll be able to play around more and feel confident that if an occasion or my mood calls for it, I have a pair ready to be aired out. This Charlotte Russe Plaid Mary Jane Pumps would look nicely with a preppy ensemble. I wouldn’t wear a plaid skirt with this though. Instead, I’d wear black, then black tights. The plaid pumps will be the pop of color in the whole outfit. $24.99

I actually almost bought this Wild Diva Plaid Slingback this past Saturday. I really like the knotted vamp and cork heel but after having a mental inventory of my clothes I couldn’t think of anything that I could wear it with. But I might change my mind this week. This Bamboo Official Plaid Pumps feature a dainty lace trim to make it even more feminine. You can pick from purple, black or red colors. $21.99

I bought this Qupid Black Bootie from UrbanOG for $26.99. It’s pointed-toe but not as pointed as regular pumps. The bootie has a faux suede like texture and slight slouch look on the front. The lace-up tie is in the back which gives you an option to lace all the way or just the first 2 holes. The latter way gives it that wing-fold over look. The back lace up tie is my favorite detail. It gives it that sexy and trendy feel. There is a plaid lining as well.

I’ll be wearing this as is with fall dresses and skirts or with black tights underneath the dress. It makes me want to buy another in either grey or tan brown but I think I’ll just stick to this 1 pair for this year. I have enough boots to last me this Fall season. Knee-highs, and now a bootie!

As soon as size 8.5 was available for this Anne Michelle Red Gladiator Pumps I made sure I grabbed it before it disappeared. Good thing I did because 8.5 is gone. Only sizes 7 and 8 are available at UrbangOG right now for $14.99. The shoes features strappy detail with studs, open-toe platform and stiletto heels. Charlotte Russe Patent T-Strap Pumps

Details include faux leather patent, peep-toe, t-strap and buckled ankle strap standing tall in a 4 1/2 inches heels. Woohoo. It’s a covered platform though so it wouldn’t be that hard to walk into compare to stilettos.

I just love the cutout vamp going into the t-strap then the buckles. For $26.99, that price isn’t bad either.

I don’t mean to dampen our celebration, but a few high-end designer shoppers are questioning the quality of the line. Some have opined on the onslaught of these huge designers being available to bargain mass retailers. That’s understandable but yah know, being a part of the bargain fashionista “clique” myself, I’d appreciate some kind of happiness that we can finally own Jimmy Choo through H&M. Not all of us can afford or willing to pay $300, $500 or $1000 and up for a pair of shoes from high-end retailers. Especially not in this economy.

So seriously, can’t you just all be happy for us that finally we’ll have Jimmy Choo in our closet? Granted I don’t have an H&M store nearby so I wouldn’t be able to buy one for myself but I’m happy for my fellow bargain fashionistas who could.

Old Office Shelf Turned Into A Shoes Shelf

For my son who is in 5th grade, he has 2 separate places for his shoes in the bedroom. I bought him a large laundry basket for his playtime and school sneakers. He has a separate open shelf for oxfords, boots, and slipons.

If you’re wondering about the laundry basket and the open shelf, let me explain further. He’s 10 yrs old. Everything, including his shoes must be conveniently accessible. Especially in the morning when he’s in a hurry for school.

My daughter who is only 2 yrs old has acquired quite a lot of shoes but like any child, she grows out of them too fast. I recently bought her a Disney Princesses heart-shape pop up hamper which she could actually reach easy and fast. It also helps when it’s time for cleaning up time.

For my husband and I, we share a closet in the master’s bedroom for shoes. Our house doesn’t have an extra closet for me to have my own shoes closet. I get the biggest space of course. Much to his chagrin, I turned a shoe rack into a purse rack. I consider it a clever way in hanging the handbags but my husband thinks otherwise.

Having all that shoes storage in our respective rooms, the living room gets a dosage of our shoes too. There are shoes that goes in the bedrooms, but there are shoes that stays in the living room for convenience sake. Our living room is not that big. A corner of it is actually my office. This is when organizing becomes a challenge but with creativity and materials it’s really not that hard.

Instead of giving away an old office shelf when my office got a new and bigger desk, I retained the shelf and turned it into a living room shoes and purse shelf (refer to the 1st image). It’s now a communal shelf meant for regular footwear that we use when going outside the house, running some errands, and workout sneakers. It’s also a place for me to put the purses I regularly use, diaper bag, and the dSLR camera that I use on a daily basis. The latter has to be easily accessible for my foodblogging job and miscellany pictures.

In summation, laundry baskets, hampers, and old office shelves can be revived by using/recylcing them into new storage places. It keeps things like shoes from a shoeholic family neat and properly organized. Having the convenience for easy access is just a cherry on top.
