Heart Cut Out Bags, Yay or Nay?

Heart Cut Out Bags, Yay or Nay?

When the circle cut out bags came out last year which I saw on a lot of Woman at the mall, I should have prepared myself for another shape cut out bag. Like, oooh I don’t, hearts?

The new shape that’s out and most probably be found on some Women or teenagers arms are these heart cut out bags. I thought the circle cut out bags were terrible but the heart cut out are even worse. Actually, I would find it cute on a teenager but not a Woman. It’s too girly and trendy and too cute.

It has been said over and over and over again that a woman must have a classic white button-down shirt in her closet. It is one of the top 5 staple items on every stylist’s list. A button-down shirt could be worn with anything and be styled differently. It is one of the most chic and sophisticated items in clothing that will always save the day.
Today I’m going to show a few chic looks using the same classic button-down shirt. Our first look is the button-down shirt with trouser and pumps.

Shredded/Frayed Jeans For Back To School?

Shredded/Frayed Jeans For Back To School?

Are we actually going to believe that shredded/frayed/distressed jeans are the IT jeans for our Back-To-School fashionistas? Seriously, that’s where fashion is going? Coz if it is, then we might have to knock some sense into people starting today.

I refuse to believe that our back-to-school fashionistas are going to grace their schools wearing shredded/frayed/distressed jeans. If there are any young readers out there, please don ‘t succumb to this trend. Coz that’s what this is, a trend.

Papillon Blanc Twin-Print Dress, Yay or Nay

Papillon Blanc Twin-Print Dress, Yay or Nay

I do believe that twin-prints on dresses can be tricky to pull off. You don’t always find twin or multiple prints on 1 dress that mesh well for an overall look. Take for example this Papillon Blanc Twin-Print Dress.
The top is in black & white animal print while the bottom is also black & white floral print with a pop of purple colors. I got dizzy the first time I saw it. Well, it’s an exaggeration but you get my drift.
The problem with this dress is that each print is already bold and powerful, know what I mean? …read more

Look For Less : R&M Printed Dress & Pumps

Look For Less : R&M Printed Dress & Pumps

Here’s a look for less ensemble featuring a R&M Printed Dress. This look could take you to the office, Church, or a simple gathering with family and friends.
R&M Richards Sleeveless Printed Jersey Dress, $42.99
Black Stiletto Pumps, $20.99
Sterling Silver tennis bracelet, $39.99
Sterling Silver Inside Hoop Earrings, $24.99
I decided to use silver toned accessories for this dress. I couldn’t exactly feature a real diamond tennis bracelet or hoop earrings so I used a sterling silver bracelet that’s less than $40 and hoop earrings that’s almost $30. If you have both of these in fine jewelry, I suggest you pair them with …read more

Whitney Port’s Boyish & Tattered Look

Whitney Port’s Boyish & Tattered Look

Celebrities like Mischa Barton are always trying to introduce fashion trends hoping that if it ever catches onto the mainstream status, they’ll get credit for it. Most often than not, they fail miserably because they look ridiculous and obviously desperate for such accolades. And guess what else, because most fashionistas are smart. They know that not all celebrity trends should be followed.
Just take a look at this Boyish and tattered trend that Whitney Port is trying to introduce.
Are you kidding me? Boyfriend tattered jeans, cuffed and worn with Men’s spectators. Please Whitney, don’t insult our intelligence. It’s ok …read more

Ways To Save Money On Shoes

Ways To Save Money On Shoes

Any shoeholics out there? Or is that a stupid question? Since we all love shoes, I’m sure we’ll appreciate any tips we could get on saving money on shoes.
The most important tip is taking care of your shoes. Uppers of patent pumps would benefit a lot from getting a wipe down with a soft cloth after each use. And of course brushing any dirt off found on the sole would be something to remember as well. Hanging them onto shoe racks help too. If you don’t have one, the boxes that the shoes came with are good for storage. …read more

Color Splatter Strapless Dress, Yay or Nay?

Color Splatter Strapless Dress, Yay or Nay?

I’m usually a big fan of tiered styles. I even thought a petal tiered top wasn’t bad at all. I feel differently about this color splatter strapless dress though.
The color splatter print and the bright colors remind me of 80’s. It’s 2009, 80’s has got to go. I think it’s actually the worst year in fashion, but that’s my opinion of course. If this dress was in black, white or maybe even yellow, blue or pink, I might be singing a different tune.
What do you think? Is this color splatter dress a Yay or Nay? Just in case, …read more
