The new shape that’s out and most probably be found on some Women or teenagers arms are these heart cut out bags. I thought the circle cut out bags were terrible but the heart cut out are even worse. Actually, I would find it cute on a teenager but not a Woman. It’s too girly and trendy and too cute.

These can be found at Accessory Bug which is a store I love actually but I don’t think I’ll be giving these heart shape bags any props, ever. I would much rather you buy one of the black bags from the same store that I compiled last week. They are classic, chic and versatile for all seasons. Unlike these heart cut out bags. The best way to wear any of these pairs of animal print peep-toe pumps is to wear either black or brown tights. I would suggest plain tights though. I know how sexy the patterned tights but matched with a bold print of shoes would definitely clash. When wearing a giraffe or leopard print pumps for Fall, the shoes itself makes the statement. Try not to go overboard and avoid looking like you’re trying too hard to be fashionable by wearing patterned tights with any of the prints as well. Just my friendly fashion advice of course. I refuse to believe that our back-to-school fashionistas are going to grace their schools wearing shredded/frayed/distressed jeans. If there are any young readers out there, please don ‘t succumb to this trend. Coz that’s what this is, a trend.

Show up looking like you mean business instead. That you are serious in learning Calculus, Psychology, Chemistry, History, Literature, and all that good stuff. shredded/frayed/distressed jeans are not chic. Youthful? That’s debatable. It’s possible to look chic and be youthful at the same time.

Do you think Blair or Serena would wear those jeans to school? Of course they’ll wear something way more expensive than Forever21 but believe it or not, there are other clean, classic, and cute jeans out there from affordable merchants that would look better that these shredded ones. Old Navy and L.E.I are great examples. Forever21 has them too, just dig around. Or go to the classic Levi’s.

Trust me, you don’t want to look back 10 years from now and say to yourself, “I can’t believe I went to school wearing those jeans”.

Papillon Blanc Twin-Print Dress

The top is in black & white animal print while the bottom is also black & white floral print with a pop of purple colors. I got dizzy the first time I saw it. Well, it’s an exaggeration but you get my drift.

The problem with this dress is that each print is already bold and powerful, know what I mean? The animal print could stand alone or if combined with a solid print. The same way with the black and white with purple accent print. There is just too much going on with this dress that it’s giving me a headache. There is a reason why people say, “less is more”. I decided to use silver toned accessories for this dress. I couldn’t exactly feature a real diamond tennis bracelet or hoop earrings so I used a sterling silver bracelet that’s less than $40 and hoop earrings that’s almost $30. If you have both of these in fine jewelry, I suggest you pair them with this dress. They’ll give you that sophisticated edge to feature your mature, feminine and stylish self.

When it comes to bags, I’m thinking a black clutch for a special occasion, then a simple black tote during the day.

Are you kidding me? Boyfriend tattered jeans, cuffed and worn with Men’s spectators. Please Whitney, don’t insult our intelligence. It’s ok to be unique and having your own style identity but there’s a thin line between the latter and looking absolutely desperate and pathetic.

How dare she ruin her CHANEL shoulder bag by wearing this combination of clothes and shoes?

I like Whitney Port which makes this fashion bashing such a sad thing for me to do. But hey, I’d rather be honest than kiss anyone’s behind just because I happen to like a certain celebrity. I call it as I see it.

Clear Shoe Boxes

The most important tip is taking care of your shoes. Uppers of patent pumps would benefit a lot from getting a wipe down with a soft cloth after each use. And of course brushing any dirt off found on the sole would be something to remember as well. Hanging them onto shoe racks help too. If you don’t have one, the boxes that the shoes came with are good for storage. I actually love the Clear drop shoe boxes from container store. It keeps the dust away, and easy access to boot. Shoe boxes will prevent shoes from being scrunched or scratched in any way.

Boots on the other hand could benefit from light brushing and boots shapers would help preserve the shape while it’s under summer hibernation.

Now that we’ve covered the shoe care, let delve into the shopping aspect.

Knowing where the deals are on designer shoes would be a good thing. The same way you want to be abreast of discounts on designer clothing, it wouldn’t hurt to peruse the shoes aisle/categories from high end store like Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, Saks, etc.

When it comes to the not so high-end stores, keep an eye out on special deals that pop out at least every 2 weeks. Smart Bargains for example has 3 for $99 deals on shoes. You’ll find brands like Steve Madden, Jessica Simpson, Betsey Johnson, Via Spiga, Carlos Santana, etc.

Speaking from experience, Cutesy Girl & Urban OG are always offering discounts when buying a certain amount especially during their inventory sales. PLUS, there are also times when free shipping is offered when your total purchase is $50-$60 or more.

Perhaps the most famous words among bargain shoppers are Payless‘ BOGO sale. That’s Buy One Get One half off. I for one have taken advantage of countless BOGO sales in my lifetime. I found $7 floral green espadrille thanks to a BOGO sale. I’ve once spent a $20 gift card on a BOGO sale.

Color Splatter Strapless Dress

The color splatter print and the bright colors remind me of 80’s. It’s 2009, 80’s has got to go. I think it’s actually the worst year in fashion, but that’s my opinion of course. If this dress was in black, white or maybe even yellow, blue or pink, I might be singing a different tune.

The best way to find designer clothes on discounts is to visit the high-end stores and dig through their clearance section. Stores like Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Saks, Bergdorf Goodman, Macy’s, Dillard’s, BlueFly, Smart Bargains, Overstock, etc, all have clearance sections that are available for perusal.

Gilt, Shop Flick<;, Shop It To Me, and Red Tag Crazy are also great places to find high-end items with cut back prices.

The question is, do you have the patience and time to devote a few hours on digging through pages and pages (or aisles) of sales to find what you’re looking for. The only bad thing about digging for discounts is that when you find something you like, sizes are limited. That’s really the setback in shopping for designer clothes on discounts. But don’t let that discourage you. I’m sure you’ll find something equally gorgeous in your size. Discount Shopping calls for perseverance my friends .

My last tip is to make sure to sign up for newsletters that the aforementioned stores provide. You’ll get announcements regarding sales, discounts, holiday specials, new arrivals, trunk shows, preview on seasons’ collections, and even discount codes.
