Just a few short weeks ago, I wrote about Whichgoose’s ethereal head wreaths. Although I realize revisiting her hat collection so soon opens up all sorts of stalker questions, I can’t help it — sorry.
Why isn’t this talented girl’s designs at Henri Bendel yet? I’ll never understand..
And, while I have your attention, a sophisticated option to dress up your hair at your next formal occasion.
I promise, I’m not her publicist. Just slightly obsessed, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

Both necklaces are beautiful, I’d have a hard time choosing. Maybe the prices will sway you? The Tiny Butterfly Necklace is $66 and the Large Butterfly Necklace is $144 at ShopBop. Which one would you pick?

Dilemma: Under-Accessorizing

We’ve all heard the rule: take one piece off before leaving the house. This only works if you over accessorize though. What happens if you under accessorize or don’t accessorize at all?
I’ve run in to this problem many times. I’m the kind of girl who wears earrings and maybe a ring on any given day. So, how do you play up that kind of look if you’d don’t wear a belt, a scarf, a wrap, and a headband along with your earrings and ring? Easy! Wear a big obnoxious ring! Well, not necessarily obnoxious, but just big and bold. I love big and bold rings. Not only do they look fun, but when I’m typing at my desk they make a fun noise. Here are some of my choices:

Net-A-Porter
Bijoux Heart Whiplash Multi-Stone Ring
$200

Nordstrom
Kate Spade Petits Fours Lotus’ Ring
$75

Intermix
Kenneth Jay Lane Floral Dome Ring
$175
Nature Inspired Necklaces

As more and more people are living ‘green’, it also influences their choice of clothing and accessories. The clothing and accessories may or may not be eco-friendly by way of make or material, but it’s certainly influenced by nature. I found a couple nature and botanic inspired necklaces that capture the beauty of leaves in a simple and elegant way. These would make perfect gifts for the person in your life that loves the outdoors.

Diamond in the Rough Jewelry

Are you familiar with Diamond in the Rough? The Diamond in the Rough line was launched back in 2003 as a fashion statement, their goal is to infuse the beauty of rough-cut, unpolished, natural diamonds into the mainstream. A long, long time ago those fashionable Kings and Queens wore jewelry made of rough diamonds and today you can do the same! Oh and you’ll be happy to know all diamonds used by Diamond in the Rough are conflict-free, certified natural diamonds.
I browsed through their selection and they’ve got such amazing pieces! The following gorgeous gems would make fantastic gifts for your friends and loved ones.

(Image: Neiman Marcus)
The Diamond in the Rough Champagne Bubbles necklace is absolutely amazing! It really does look like those fizzy champagne bubbles doesn’t it? This necklace is handcrafted in 18-karat white gold with a toggle clasp and 16″ chain. It features 17 rough diamonds (about 15.43 carats - oh my!) and accented by 0.95 carats of micro-pavé diamonds. All those diamonds will cost ya a pretty penny, though. About $22K to be exact. Pricey but oh so beautiful, right?
Ok let me show you something that won’t hurt the wallet as much…

(Image: Neiman Marcus)
Another lovely piece from the collection is this Band Ring. At $5,500. it’s still expensive but no less as gorgeous. This lovely ring is made of 18-karat white gold with pavé diamond insets. The rough diamond center is about 1.58 carats and the micropavé diamonds are 0.32 carats. This ring would definitely be a showcase piece to give that special someone.
You can purchase both of these Diamond in the Rough pieces at Neiman Marcus or Bergdorf Goodman.

Victorian Hippie Jewelry

If you’re looking for a special gift for someone, jewelry is always a big hit. You don’t necessarily have to drop the big bucks for diamonds all the time (at least not all the time!), sometimes it’s the simple and minimalistic pieces that are truly the most impressive. Victorian Hippie is a pretty new brand and from the looks of the collection, the pieces are not only gorgeous but one of a kind.
Taken from the company bio on ShopBop:
Victorian Hippie brings to life an original blend of whimsical and earthy styles that take inspiration from both designer Cynthia Dugan’s personal heritage and creative figures of the past. Combining quality materials like leather and gemstones, and innovative, on-trend designs, Victorian Hippie is a collection of unique, subtly statement-making pieces.

This gorgeous bracelet caught my eye immediately. The Victorian Hippie Silk Bracelet with Turquoise Stone is simple but it makes a statement. The bracelet is made out of silk cord and oxidized sterling silver. The turquoise stone makes a wonderful centerpiece. This would go very well with a pretty summer dress and sandals. It measures 6.5″ and is available at ShopBop for $80. You can also find other accessories by Victorian Hippie such as necklaces and headbands on the ShopBop website.
