One-shouldered gowns are the look of the moment. Well, one of them, anyways. But, how do you wear this one shouldered look without coming off like a disco princess wannabe? Here’s three ways, courtesy of Badgley Mischka.
This silk chiffon one-shouldered gown really makes a statement, and it isn’t “take me to the roller rink”. This drapey, dead sexy take on the one-shouldered look makes it black tie or red carpet ready. One way to keep a one-shouldered look current is by making sure it’s composed of a nice, sophisticated fabric, and not a shiny poly blend. Available for $459 (from …read more

Of course the paparazzi are all over the place during Fashion Week. They want to catch the posh and the fashionable, as well as the trashy and the not so fashionable celebrities. Sometimes, the star sightings are as much fun as the actual coveted invite to the runway show! The celebrities that were at the Badgley Mischka show today, September 14, 2009, were top notch and as amazing as the designs that graced the runway. Take a peek at a few of these stars that sat in the audience….

I’m sure by now you’ve seen loads of bags with all sorts of hardware embellishments. There are bags with studs, bags with zippers all over, bags with chain handles or just decorative chains and bags with grommets. I’ve even seen a few handbags with all of the above! If you love that tough rocker chic vibe but don’t want a bag that screams ‘trendy’, you’ll love this Badgley Mischka bag!
This Badgley Mischka Platinum Label Anu Structure Leather Hobo is a stunning hobo with just the right amount of hardware. Black, of course, is a classic colour but what makes this …read more
Badgley Mischka Evening Wear Sample Sale!

Alright, I’ll be honest. Badgley Mischka is not one of my favorite design duos. But I wasn’t pleasantly surprised at the dressed I saw on sale at Ideeli. They aren’t going to start any design revolutions, but their dresses are clean and classic, which is basically all that anyone can ask.
This slate colored metallic brocade dress is an easy stunner. The slim cut is flattering for a lot of shapes, and the princess neckline is, as well. What I like about this dress is that it combines such a traditional cut with such a flashy fabric. it really strikes a …read more

I am loving the patterned acetate sunglasses that are popping up for summer. This expands on the idea of the colored frames and takes it further with multi-colored patterns on the frames. I posted recently about the Badgley Mischka Couture Eyewear in colorful floral patterns that were based on swimsuit fabrics, but now I am seeing other designers with patterned frames as well.
Badgley Mischka Euphoria in Orange $325
Bitty Bloom Sunglasses at Anthropologie $24
Dior 60’s Sunglasses in Panther at Saks Fifth Avenue $290
UO Floral Sunglasses at Urban Outfitters $9.99 (reg. $20)
Molten Metal: Evening Gown Runway Trends

The Fall season evening gowns have arrived on the runways, and boy do they shine in liquid silver and gold. The metallic trend seems to have moved from accessories to fabrics, and the result is blingalicious. Here are some of my favorite looks.
This stunner by Ralph Lauren literally looks as though it melted down the model’s body. I love the way the fabric pools up around the feet, enhancing its fluid grace. Unfortunately, you pretty much have to be a model to pull off a style like this, as it is as slinky as all get out.
Here’s one for the …read more

Luxury clothing design team Mark Badgley and James Mischka expanded to produce their first eyewear collection in 2006. Badgley Mischka Couture Eyewear is a very high end line of sunglasses and ophthalmics that were inspired by the “Golden Age of Hollywood.”
One of the unique designs in their most recent collection is the Badgley Mischka Euphoria. These oversized acrylic sunglasses have gorgeous and colorful floral patterns on the frames that were inspired by Badgley Mischka’s Spring 2009 swimwear line. I love the idea that you could have sunglasses that match your swimsuit!
