Did you know you can add youth and vitality with just cutting some bangs into your hair style?
“Bangs can be a great way to frame the face and actually add volume to the face,” says stylist Atuozo Neihule.
Why is this? Well, you have probably noticed that as we get older, a lot of us tend to notice lines draw our face downward. Bangs can actually offset long lines, by framing the face and brining attention to the eyes.
What else is great at “cutting” time?
A short cut can often open the face and brighten the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Yvonne …read more

What’s hot in hair styles this season?
Well, bangs are back. If they ever left!
“Bangs Bangs Bangs. The bolder the better!” says Karen R Gilmore of K.Renee Salon.
Karen says that the intrinsic truth of the matter is that height rests in the crown. We should maximize this with lots of movement, and texturizing that removes hair in all those thick and heavy places(whether your hair is thick or fine.
I love the bangs on the model at left – her hair is romantic, sexy, and full of body – all looks that many of us are emulating this season.
And what is my favorite …read more

Looking for your hot new Spring look? I had a super-educational chat with Nicholas Penna, Jr. of SalonCapri:
1. What is the hot style for Spring?
Blunt bangs are the hot style for spring because they add edge to hair. For a long time, soft hair was the trend and now there’s a change with some attitude. Celebrities such as Kate Hudson in the new movie Bride Wars and Erin Lucas from MTV’s newest reality endeavor, The City, are both sporting blunt bangs which makes it even hotter.
2. What hair type does this style work best on?
Blunt bangs typically look …read more
Janet Jackson… Part of the Bangs Gallery
Here you have bangs that are all one length which I would imagine would be the easiest to maintain yourself. And they also seem to have been dried over a brush, giving them a slightly rounded curve.
Here’s Alison… with Bangs
Change… Something!

It seems that bangs are huge right now. They are certainly suiting Jessica Alba and I love her in red as well. But the reason for this post is to jump start some of you who might be in need of a change. A friend of mine just mentioned the fact that she hasn’t worn bangs since she was seven years old but was getting bored with her look. If I’m not mistaken, she’s thirty something and she looks amazing with bangs. Funny thing… I hardly recognized her!
So… go out there and try something new!!
Linda Cardellini… Part of the Bangs Gallery

When someone thinks of adding bangs to their style, they seem to forget just how many versions there are to try. This style for example… look how far back they begin. And then you have wispy, straight, parted on one side, choppy and thats just for starters. If you wanted to, you could style your bangs differently every single day.
Selma Blair… Part of the Bangs Gallery

This is exactly what happens when my bangs get this length, they begin to curl towards the temples. Not a good look for me, but obviously working for Selma Blair. Actually, I barely recognized her. I like her hair long. The bob that I remember just isn’t her best look in my opinion.
Jodie Foster… Part of the Short Hair Style Gallery

I have seen Jodie with different lengths and different shades of blonde, but this color and this cut is perfect. I wonder what (if anything) she needs to do to make this style look so effortless??
Farouk CHI 1 Inch Ceramic Flat Hairstyling Iron
I know that there are wider flat irons out there, but I started with a 1 inch and it has worked for me for the past few years, so I really haven’t found a reason to replace it with a wider one. But for those of you who are knew to this whole concept of flat ironing your hair, this little gadget gets amazingly hot and I have burned myself a couple of times. Same thing goes for your hair. Before you touch your hair, be sure to give it a few seconds to cool down. I have burned myself …read more
