Purple Dita Sunglasses

Colored acetate sunglasses are definitely one of the most popular styles this summer. If you can’t really see yourself wearing a neon pair of Super Sunglasses or some bright red Ray Ban Wayfarers, try these Dita sunglasses in a beautiful shade of lavendar.
Dita sunglasses have skyrocketed in popularity lately and been spotted on every celebrity. Similar to brands like Oliver Peoples, Dita has simple modern designs that are beautiful without huge logos or flashy embellishments. Dita Eyewear founders Jeff Solario and John Jupiter are inspired by the vintage styles of the ’50s through the ’80s and value the lack of …read more
Karen Walker Sunglasses for Vampires

With the rampant popularity of Twilight and other vampire storyline copycats, Karen Walker has produced a creative and humorous “Celebrate Sun” sunglasses line for summer. If a vampire can’t be out during the daytime, why don’t they just put on a good pair of shades? The ad campaign is truly genious with adorable hipsters donning a funky pair of Karen Walker shades and, of course, a large pair of fangs. So cute!
You can see the rest of the ad campaign on The Pipeline.

I’ve found more Gossip Girl headbands! Jennifer Oullette is another accessories designer who has had booming business thanks to Blair Waldorf and her signature headbands. She designs many of the headbands that are seen on the show, which are also being featured in tons of fashion spreads. Most of Jennifer Oullette’s gorgeous headbands start at around $70, so I was extremely excited to discover that many of her designs are currently on sale for 50% off at Barneys online!
Here are some of my picks that are now available at affordable prices:

Where to Get Real Vintage Sunglasses

I found these vintage Dior Retro Rounds sunglasses at Barneys New York and noticed that they were made by brand Retrosun. How are vintage Diors made by a different brand? Retrosun was started by Nicole Miller in 2005 after she discovered a warehouse filled with backstock of authentic vintage designer sunglasses. Now the brand finds designers’ stock from around the world and sells gorgeous vintage sunglasses from the 1970s and 1980s.
I am loving all of the vintage-inspired sunglass styles that are popular this summer, but it would be even more amazing to get my hands on the real piece of …read more
Give the Gift of Niche Perfumes

Since writing about unique scents from Crabtree & Evelyn; I want to expand on the topic of niche scents. “Niche” fragrances are scents which are not released with the fanfare of your typical perfume with celebrity endorsements, multiple magazine and television ads. These fragrances are often made by smaller, not as well known companies which are primarily focused on creating perfumes.
When choosing a fragrance for someone you love, unless you know what they already want, why not pick out something that’s out of the norm? You might be surprised at the number of choices you’ll find. Here are just a …read more

Do you like marshmallows? Do you also like Chamomile? Jurlique has come up with a way to combine those two ingredients into a facial mist. Intrigued? So was I!
All Jurlique products are infused with herbs and flowers that are organically and bio-dynamically grown in their own self-sustaining farm in South Australia. The products are designed to re-balance your skin and improve it.
The Jurlique Soothing Mist is infused with chamomile and marshmallows to soothe, tone and calm your skin. I imagine this would be something to use after you’ve washed your face and are about to turn in for the night. …read more
Roberta di Camerino Zebra Bag

If you’re looking for a way to revamp your handbag collection, try out something in a bold animal print. When done right and when paired with the right outfit a bold animal print bag won’t look too ‘out there’. In fact, it will give your outfit that needed ‘pop’ of interest.
This Zebra Bag by Roberta di Camerino would definitely wake up an otherwise bland outfit. The black and white faux zebra fur is just the right size to not make you (or your friends) dizzy. The classic framed handbag shape is perfect to offset the wild pattern.
It measures 7.5″ x …read more
The Cereus Fragrance Collections

The Cereus fragrances – Pour Femme for Women and Pour Homme for Men – are available exclusively at Barneys. They are unique and remind me of some of the independent fragrances that I have smelled lately. Traditional scents, but with a twist, presented in understated bottles with clean lines. Good fragrance, little or no hype.
They are heavier on the notes that interest me – cardamon, licorice, any sort of woody note – and I appreciate something a little different. So many male fragrances have that “water” smell and the women’s have that sweetness, not flowery, but candy-like. I don’t want to …read more
