In honor of Betsey’s four decades of fabulous fashion, I’m checking out some of her new accessories (which is always fun to do!).

Of course, it’s just not Betsey Johnson without a wacky sense of humor – like adding black widow spiders to a pearl charm bracelet:

Love animal print?  There’s a pair of shoes from Betsey Johnson for you…

The “Caelen” leopard-print Mary Jane high heel is accented with piped details and cutouts on the heels.

Let’s not forget Betsey Johnson’s girly side, with flowers and ruffles galore!

The “Night Out” frame purse is covered with layers of black chiffon ruffles and comes with it’s own teensy little leopard print change purse that hides inside.

Betsey Wins Big at the National Arts Club

Check out her “Rockstar” satchel – it’s trimmed with snakeskin embossed leather ruffles, and not just a couple of discreet little ruffles – lots of ruffles!

I love the combination of the girly ruffles and the tough faux-snakeskin.  Hey, if you’re going to carry a statement purse, you might as well have fun with it.

The satchel is lined with a lace print fabric and has interior pockets with zippers.

This tote measures 16 inches wide by 5 inches deep and 10 inches high. It also includes an interior zipper and a spot for your cell phone. The Sequins are to die for, but be careful with them. They could come off. So, this isn’t one to throw around too much.

You can find the bag in Purple and Black at Zappos.com for $185. If you’re more of a metallic fan, then hop on over to Bloomie’s to pick up the Gold for $185 as well.  So many places!

Betsey’s Showgirl Tote

The Betsey Johnson ‘Charm School’ Butterfly Ring would work very well as a bold statement or accent ring. Wear it at night as a fun cocktail ring or during the day to dress up your jeans and tee. The butterfly is made of Lucite and adorned faux gems. The floral prints are what truly make this butterfly stand out. The band measures 1/2″W and the butterfly itself measures 1 3/4″W.

There’s also a matching Butterfly Bracelet. This pretty butterfly is  made out of glass and accented with glittering purple crystal studs.  The bracelet is fully adjustable and measures about 3/4″ wide. This would look wonderful with a little black dress for evenings and for those times when you want to give your daytime outfits a pop of colour.

Betsey Johnson “Vintage” Oversized Sunglasses $85

Betsey Johnson is pretty new on the sunglasses scene so I haven’t had a lot of experience with her designs, but these are a definite hit!  This style is exactly keyed into what is fashionable right now.  I also completely love that these sunglasses are only $85.  At under $100 you’re not going to get complete UV protection (these only offer 60% UVA Protection and 95% UVB Protection) but they are great as a fashionable item.

It is blush, blue and white with two tiers to add to the ruffled band and dot and floral embellishments that adorn the first tier. While this is clearly an Easter looking dress, I say wear it to any Spring party, because it is just too adorable to pass up. It is $240 from Bluefly.com.

This is the kind of dress that turns the chapel aisle right into a runway. I love the slim corset top with the contrast of the long, ruffled skirt. You could work this dress a number of ways. Of course, it looks great in classic Betsey style, a little bit frilly, a little bit rock-n-roll, but you could also see this dress as a modern twist on a victorian theme.
