Another Great Betsey Johnson Dress

(Because I’m mean like that.)

Exhibit A:

This model is not “selling it.”  Not only is she not selling it, she has managed to look simultaneously bored and ticked off.  Is having to wear designer clothes while people pamper you and take your photo really such a burden that she can’t even fake a smile?  Come on.

Not only that, but this model is the same color as the dress (I mean, the same exact shade!).  The dress is pretty, but would have looked so much better on someone with a darker skin tone.  She also needs to put some padding in the top so that it doesn’t look deflated.  Don’t get me wrong–I’m not saying her body isn’t nice–it’s very pretty well proportioned.  It just doesn’t fit the measurements of the dress, and the whole point is to make the dress look good. 

One last thing.  Do those shoes match that outfit?  The answer is no, my friends, they do not.

Exhibit B:

This poor girl looks like she has some sort of severe curvature of the spine.  Is this really the best pose she could come up with?  And what’s up with the super vascular look in her hands and feet?  Did she go bench a big stack of weights right before she posed for this picture?  Somebody needs to airbrush those massive veins.

Again with the inappropriate/weird facial expression.  Her face should be sending the message:  I feel so pretty in this dress and so will you when you buy it.  Instead, it sends the message ‘Sup? You want a piece of me? Come over here and say that to my face.

Again with the non-matching shoes.

Exhibit C:

This girl is working it.  She has a cute pose and an appropriate facial expression.  There is some motion implied in the pose.  The picture is beautiful and lively and shows off the dress to its best advantage.  THE SHOES MATCH.  If you look at the site, all of her pictures look good.  This girl should get a raise. 

Exhibit D:

This was actually my pick for best springtime dress.  The model isn’t bad, perhaps a little cockeyed in this picture, but at least she’s smiling and posing.  This dress features embroidered cut-outs and is fully lined.
