Designer Charms for Charity

QVC and the CFDA (the Council of Fashion Designers of America) have teamed up to raise money for breast cancer research through the sale of “Designer Charms for Charity“.
They’ve enlisted the help of some jewelry design greats to design the charms and the proceeds go to the CFDA’s charity “Fashion Targets Breast Cancer”.
Prices ranges from $23 to $76 and the sterling silver charms can feature Swarovski crystals, semi-precious gems or enamel accents.

Did you know that salmon is considered an “exotic skin”?
One October is using salmon skin, which is strong, light and environmentally friendly, to make their funky accessories. Their designs have even shown up on celebrities like Shannen Doherty (she’s worn the Kara bracelet):
