Innocence Felted Bolero by TianaCHE

Most modern wedding gowns are strapless. There are of course, oodles of exceptions, but walk into any bridal shop and I guarantee you that at least half of the dresses you see will be strapless. Here in the south, that percentage seems to go up even higher, with the predominant dress design being strapless, corsetted, and with a princess skirt. Nothing’s wrong with any of this, obviously, and trends will come and go, but my real question is: how will we wear them come fall?
We’ll wear them with boleros, and wraps, and shrugs. Perhaps even opera length gloves. In any …read more
Victorian Inspired Bridal Bolero by Bonzie

It’s amazing that with the cost of wedding gown prices being so high that so many of the accessories that go with them are of such shoddy quality. You really wouldn’t believe how many cheap lace shrugs and polyester white gloves there are out there.
But not this totally handmade silk bridal bolero by Bonzie. It’s in a class all its own. With high quality materials and high quality design, this is one item that would put some serious POW into your wedding ensemble. I love the high-necked ruffles and the dainty cap sleeves. This bolero is so romantic and sweet …read more

I think this white gold “Oui” necklace from Dior would make a charming wedding-day necklace:
It’s even finished off with a diamond!

Okay, so I’m still looking for wedding jewelry – but you can wear pearls with lots of different outfits too!
I just recently stumbled across the work of James Murray and was really impressed! His website is being redesigned, but this is one of the pieces available.
It’s called “Bubbles” and is made from glass pearls & gunmetal. Bold, but so pretty!

I’ve been mooching around the internet this morning, looking for the perfect bridal jewelery. I found a very cool site called “tobyDesign” and love some of their designs.
I love the vintage feel of this circlet. The ribbon is also removable too.
I would wear these Swarovski earrings after the ceremony too!
This necklace is pretty much exactly what I want to wear. It’s made from Swarovski crystals & freshwater pearls.

Of course, if you’re going to wear a pearl necklace, matching pearl earrings would be lovely…
These 14kt gold, pearl & crystal earrings are by Mashka.
Or these lovely champagne pearls by Nancy Cohen.

My brain is still in “wedding mode” (of course, I think it will be for the rest of the summer!) and so when I saw this lovely necklace from Nancy Cohen:
I thought “Aha! Perfect for bridal jewelery!”
I think my brain may be like this for awhile…
vintage pins as hair accessories

When my mother was married, my grandmother (her mother in-law to be) loaned her a porcelain flower brooch to wear in her hair. Now that I’m engaged, I wanted to wear the same pin that my mother did, and my grandmother before her. There was one small problem.
My Nana couldn’t find the pin. She looked all over her house. My aunt looked all over her house. My parents even looked all over Nana’s house.
And no pin.
“Oh well” I thought, I’m sure I can find more. So I started building up my own collection of porcelain flowers to wear.
And then, Nana found …read more

I’m thrilled to be getting married this summer, and of course, wanted to do something a little different for my bridesmaids. Instead of going with the traditional “everyone in the same dress”, I asked my bridesmaids to choose their own dress patterns. Everyone will have the same fabric for the dresses and I found some gorgeous sheer printed organza to make shawls out of.
I wanted to share my floral brooches with my friends, and decided on this look:
Because I want to remain friends with my bridesmaids after my wedding, I felt it was better to give everyone as much choice …read more

Can you imagine how gorgeous this bracelet would look on the wrist of a summer bride?? I especially love the fact that it features Swarovski crystals. If there is a bride out there who is looking for something incredibly romantic, this pretty much fits the bill!
Details:
Stunning infinity circle bracelet features inset Swarovski crystals.
