Ingenue Linen Bridesmaids Dress

There’s still a few weeks of warm weather left, and I know some people are still figuring out the details of their before fall weddings. Well, there’s not much time left, but that doesn’t mean you have to leave your bridesmaids in the lurch, fashion-wise. This gorgeous linen dress by Miss Maisy Brown is perfect as a bridesmaids dress.
I love the 50’s fit and flare silhouette of this dress. The bandeau top with its little ruffles is a romantic touch on a dress with clean, simple lines. The lace fruit motif belt is fabulous on the dress, and you could …read more
Peachy Keen Dress by Sarah Seven

I’m totally obsessed with bridesmaids dresses this week. I’m not sure why. I’ve never been one, and I let my girls pick out their own dresses, so I have never suffered the indignities of wearing an ugly bridesmaid dress, nor have I ever doled them out. Nonetheless, this frothy peach number is an absolute delight. And, Sarah Seven will make this just for you in other colors if this one doesn’t rock your world or just isn’t what you have in mind.
The soft, petaly ruffles are what’s really doing it for me, I think. That in combination with the sweet, …read more
Satin Bridesmaid’s Dress by Donna Ricco

Fall is coming. Darker colors are coming in to play in wedding schemes, and dresses are getting a little longer and adding sleeves. If you’re planning a fall or winter wedding, or even if you’re just looking for a more modest option for your bridesmaids, this stretch satin dress by Donna Ricco is a great option.
The wide v-neck and mock wrap bodice is almost universally flattering, and the elbow length sleeves are a great choice for women who want to keep their upper arms in check. The ruched detail brings in the waist, and enhances the look of an hourglass …read more
Plum Ruffle Halter Bridesmaid’s Dress

Fall is almost here. I know that seems unimaginable, but it’s true. And with fall comes fall weddings. And with fall weddings come deeper, darker, richer color palettes. I love plum as a fall wedding color choice, as there are so many lovely flowers with plum accents, and it is a color that suits a lot of different skin tones nicely.
The shape of this dress is straightforward enough to please a lot of bridesmaids. And the cut will flatter a lot of figures, including top heavy ladies who often have a problem in the gown department. The ruffles are a …read more
Silk Tafetta Halter Sangle Dress by J. Crew

The thing that I like about J. Crew bridal, besides the imminently reasonable prices, is the fact that you’re bridesmaids don’t have to agree on one style of dress. And they don’t have to go out and have their own style dyed to match, either. If you choose one of the colors that J. Crew uses in their bridal line, your girls can simply pick the dress that suits them best, and all the bridesmaid’s dresses come in the same colors. Brilliant.
And the dresses are great. By “great”, I don’t mean “great for bridesmaid’s dresses”. They’re just plain great. Chic, …read more
Jane’s Best Woman | The Jill by Charsa

Okay, well, I think I’m beginning to get a better idea of what level of formal to expect from Jane’s wedding. Her “best woman” (who, I think, is the only bridesmaid) will also be wearing a dress by Charsa. Here it is:
This style is called the “Jill”, and it will be in hot pink to match the buttons on the back of Jane’s dress. I love the flattering fit-and-flare shape of this style, and the rouch detail on the torso. The cross-over v-neck top would be flattering on women of many different shapes and sizes, and I can’t wait to …read more
Jane’s Wedding Dress: The Caroline by Charsa
January 12, 2009 by Tracey Duncan

This May, my boyfriend’s best friend, Jane, will be tying the knot in Florence, Massachusetts. Knowing Jane, I guessed that she would not be having a super formal, black-tie affair, which has left me really confused about what to wear to the wedding myself. I decided that only way to figure out what to wear to a not-so-formal formal event was to figure out what everyone else is wearing, first. So, I have been trying to pry all the details out of Jane. (Thanks, Jane, for being so helpful!) This is her wedding dress:
The Caroline by Charsa is a tea-length …read more
