I must say, I adore Carolina Herrera. She’s got the creativity, artistry and talent that can turn an ordinary piece of fabric into something amazing.  I browsed through her Spring/Summer 2010 collection for New York Fashion Week and there were so many gorgeous gowns and stunning garments to be had.

We’re down to the last three days of the Spring & Summer 2010 collections at New York Fashion Week – luckily, there are tons of amazing designers still to show…
And I’ve got some interesting accessories to share with you all today!
Not every designer is going with the candy-colored/sleek lines/chunky accessories trend.  Some designers have been showing accessories with intricate details and softer colors.

Carolina Herrera dresses some of the most beautiful women in the world for some of the most important events. She has dressed first ladies, hollywood starlets, and heads of state. Usually, the price of a Herrera gown is far beyond what I imagine to be reasonable, but from now until tomorrow night, Gilt is hosting a sample sale that brings her wares down to imaginable prices. The Fall season evening gowns have arrived on the runways, and boy do they shine in liquid silver and gold. The metallic trend seems to have moved from accessories to fabrics, and the result is blingalicious. Here are some of my favorite looks.
This stunner by Ralph Lauren literally looks as though it melted down the model’s body. I love the way the fabric pools up around the feet, enhancing its fluid grace. Unfortunately, you pretty much have to be a model to pull off a style like this, as it is as slinky as all get out.

Carolina Herrera epitomizes classic, romantic, and feminine fashion. This season’s collection was inspired by the Renaissance artist Botticelli’s paintings and included many floral, muted, and beautiful tones.
Carolina Herra’s designs date back to the 1970s and 80s. That’s how amazingly iconic this lady is. She even dressed Caroline Kennedy Onasis in her later life. 
She is a mother, one of the best dressed women in the world, and dresses some of the best dressed women in the world.

Carolina Herrera’s Fall 2009 runway show at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week was spectacular. It was full of dazzling colors, couture styles, and great accessories. Here are a few of my favorite styles from the show and what I thought about them.

Excuse me miss, I think your dress is falling down. Or, is that just the style? I haven’t decided if I completely appreciate the slouchy arms, but I do love the copper jewel tone of the dress.
