Last nights 61st Emmy Awards were no exception, with the celebrities wearing diamonds – lots and lots of diamonds.
Lots of celebs sported some serious rocks – with big earrings shining away brightly.

Kathy Griffin went for a more traditional pair of earrings, but still with tons of sparkle factor:

The 61st Emmy Awards took place last night and boy, did the stars bring out their best for the red carpet!
One of the looks the celebrities rocked were statement necklaces with colored stones – everything from pale green to shocking blue was on display last night.
Tracy Pollan (shown here with Michael J. Fox) went for a bold hit of color with a triple strand necklace with round cabochons in blue and green:
This is definitely a tricky one to pull off – matching greens can be a challenge, and if they’re not quite right…
Joely Fisher wore a tassel necklace with a …read more

She wore large, square faceted earrings, a sparkling headband and a multi-strand necklace:
If you’d like to try out her jewelry look yourself, but don’t have a movie star budget – I’ve got a few low-cost options for you!
Let’s begin with layering these two necklaces together:
The “Marie” jeweled necklace from Forever 21, $12.80.
And the “Puffed” rhinestone necklace, $8.80, also from Forever 21.
You could throw a third necklace on top, to mimic the square crystals, but I honestly think that those two necklaces are going to be enough …read more

Actress Diane Kruger sported a pair of simple, metallic sandals during the German premier of “Inglourious Basterds“.
It seems that so often stylists go for the boldest, heavily accented shoes to dress their celebrity clients in that it’s refreshing to see a simpler, more elegant shoe make an appearance.

If you’d like to try your out your own red carpet look with a pair of metallic strappy sandals, Christian Michaels makes a lovely pair, available in both gold and silver:

Uggs just don’t get any respect these days.
Fashion & gossip bloggers make fun of them…
Feet specialists claim they don’t have enough support…
Which begs the question – do you wear Uggs?
And does is make a difference if your Uggs come wrapped up in a cozy sweater:
The “Cardy” boot in “Pool”.
How about if your Uggs come with pretty roses?
The “Classic Tall Romantic” boot.
Feel like something sparkly?
The “Bailey” boot comes in a metallic cocoa brown with a jacquard print.

A Wearable Version of the Bandage Dress
June 28, 2009 by Tracey Duncan
Everytime I turn on the TV, someone is wearing a bandage dress. Kim Kardashian is famous for fitting her curvy figure into them, and Alex from The Real Housewives of NYC rocks them regularly. This is nothing new, of course, rich/famous/temporarily celebrated people are always wearing expensive, slim fitting clothes that most of the rest of us shudder to think about fitting our plebian imperfect figures into.
Well, here’s one for the rest of us. Not price-wise, of course, this is a designer dress, and it comes with a designer price tag. But it is somewhat more flatteringly designed than other …read more

Okay ladies, I need your opinion please.
Running shoes on the red carpet – yea, or nay?
I realize that the MTV Movie Awards are a “youthful, casual” award show – but how casual is too casual?
I know Twilight star, Kristin Stewart, gets a lot of flak these days – but I just can’t help wishing that instead of these shoes:
She would have slipped on a pair more like this:
The Stuart Weitzman black dress sandal has an easy to walk in 2″ heel (perfect for nervous young starlets… and the rest of us!) and is made from a sleek black matte satin …read more
