Go for the sparkles with Betsey Johnson’s “Kanata“, featuring a peep-toe and matching rosette detail on the vamp.

Prefer a little edgier look?  Then the “Flyn” by Steven may be the blue shoe for you.  It features a wide, studded suede strap and faux-croc heels.

Or are you a girl who likes straps – lots and lots of straps?  Try the blue suede “Shilou” by Steve Madden on for size.  Don’t worry about trying to get all those straps unbuckled though – it actually zips up the back for ease of wearing.

Michelle Obama and Those Great Belts

She chose to sport a classic “cloche” hat, which was originally based on the shape of a flower pot!  Luckily, the design doesn’t look like something you should turn over and plant flowers inside – it’s actually a very flattering shape and easy for most women to pull off.

Cloche hats are great for cooler weather and you can find them in a rainbow of colors and styles.  If you’d prefer to rock Kelly’s black hat, I’ve found two stylish options:

The “Ring & Peal” cloche hat from Anthropologie is made from black wool felt and features a feminine bow on one side.

This wool felt cloche is from Nordstrom with a buckle detail, and it’s also available in eggplant and charcoal wool felt.

Bonnie’s Knitting is an Etsy seller who creates new hats using vintage wool and embellishments.  This particular hat was made using wool herringbone fabric from the 1920s, accented with a vintage wooden buckle.

Cute Cloche Hats and Kelly Osbourne

I think the shortest “necklace” is actually holding up her dress, she’s added two extra strands of beads along with her bangle bracelet, diamond rings and earrings:

As much as I love jewelry,  I think this might be a little bit much for her classic outfit.  I do love the look of layered necklaces however, but those beads might work better for a more casual outfit…

Don’t be intimidated to try out some longer necklaces though – they can be a great accent to an outfit.

Faith Hill and All Those Necklaces

The musicians brought out their jewels and hit the red carpet with some serious glamor factor.  Singer Martina McBride sported an usual cuff bracelet along with the more standard red carpet jewelry of sparkly earrings and a big cocktail ring:

I love the bold look of this wide cuff bracelet – it adds an interesting edge to her otherwise-classic red carpet look.  If you’d like to try out your own wide silver cuff bracelet, I’ve got a few suggestions for you:

Lots of celebs sported some serious rocks – with big earrings shining away brightly.

Emmy Awards Jewelry – Bring on the Bling!

One of the looks the celebrities rocked were statement necklaces with colored stones – everything from pale green to shocking blue was on display last night.

Tracy Pollan (shown here with Michael J. Fox) went for a bold hit of color with a triple strand necklace with round cabochons in blue and green:

This is definitely a tricky one to pull off – matching greens can be a challenge, and if they’re not quite right…

Joely Fisher wore a tassel necklace with a mix of soft purples and clear stones.

I love her matching cocktail ring and deep purple clutch purse as well.

Ellen Burstyn went for lots and lots of layers of beads.  Her necklace has dozens of strands of pearls, gold beads and soft sea-green shades.  Very elegant and a flattering length on her:

Let’s begin with layering these two necklaces together:

And the “Puffed” rhinestone necklace, $8.80, also from Forever 21.

You could throw a third necklace on top, to mimic the square crystals, but I honestly think that those two necklaces are going to be enough

Now let’s talk earrings – you want a big, clear faceted crystal, right?

These rhinestone earrings are a budget-friendly $3.80 from Forever 21.  They’re available in clear or peach-colored crystal (the black seems to be sold out at the moment).
