Season 4 Finale of MTV’s The Hills

Lauren Conrad, Audrina Patridge and Whitney Port looked beautiful in the Season 4 finale of MTV’s The Hills at Tavern on the Green in New York.

The girls arrived by horse drawn carriage and The Pussycat Dolls performed. While Lauren Conrad donned a short dress, both Audrina Patridge and Whitney Port wore long gowns in shades of red.

I’m not digging Whitney’s look at all. Though I adore the Bohemian look, she overdoes it with her colorful floral headband and her tiered burgundy dress.

I’m normally not a fan of white gowns (outside bridal gowns) but Kate Beckinsale looked absolutely gorgeous in white at the ELLE Magazine 15th Annual Women in Hollywood Tribute earlier this week. The event paid tribute to women in the film industry, including Nicole Kidman, Jane Fonda, Halle Berry and others.

With her one shoulder gown, she kept her jewelry to a minimum, wearing a pair of large gold earrings and nothing else. I also love her gold hardcase clutch.

Gowns from the 60th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards

There were dozens of gorgeous dresses at the 60th Primetime Emmy Awards. Let’s take a look at a few of our favorite gowns.

Christina Applegate looked stunning in this ice blue gown in her anticipated return to the red carpet since her breast cancer surgery.

Julia Louis Dreyfus looks sexy in this hot salmon dress from Narciso Rodriguez.

Heidi Klum was gorgeous in this custom Giorgio Armani Prive gown in gunmetal metallic. The one shoulder style is very popular in evening wear these days.

Brooke Shields wore perhaps the brightest gown with this hot pink Badgley Mischka gown. This dress featured asymmetrical ruffles like those that dominated the dresses at Spring 2009 Fashion Week.

Eva Longoria wrapped herself like a silver gift for her husband Tony Parker. At the 60th Primetime Emmy Awards, Eva showed that formal gowns don’t have to be floor-length. Her short strapless fringed dress was by Marchesa.

The beautiful actresses of Desperate Housewives, Marcia Cross, Teri Hatcher, Eva Longoria Parker, Felicity Huffman and Nicollette Sheridan presented the Supporting Actor in a Drama Series award during the 60th Emmy Awards. The award went to Zeljko Ivanek of Damages.

Purple Gowns at the 60th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards

Purple was definitely one of the hottest colors of the night at the 60th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. Nicollette Sheridan wore a deep purple strapless number from Angel Sanchez. Holly Hunter wore a light plum jeweled gown from Jenny Packham and Laura Dern donned a gorgeous purple dress.

Answer: They were all in fashion news recently.

Lindsay Lohan/Paris Hilton Drama — Lindsay Lohan walked out of an event she was hired to work after finding out she would be helping to promote Paris Hilton’s line of handbags. She’s getting a lot of criticism for it in the press, but I’m afraid I’m going to have to side with LiLo on this one; she wasn’t told about the Paris Hilton thing ahead of time. So who’s the real cause of the drama, Lindsay Lohan or the less than forthright promoters? (Or was this whole thing just a promotional stunt to begin with?)

Fashion Show to Rescue Bear — The “I Can’t Bear It” event will feature models in “barely there” underwear, as well as ladies apparel, in order to raise money to save a bear named Manchester. Manchester is one of many bears being farmed for stomach bile in China (used in traditional Chinese medicine and easily replaceable with herbs or synthetics). The event also hopes to bring attention to this cruel, unnecessary, and painful practice.

Fashion Police, Literally — The Information and Broadcasting Ministry in India banned a fashion channel called FTV; among the reasons given – it’s “likely to adversely affect public morality.“ The article contains a few references to things you might not get if you’re not Indian, but it’s still a good read for anyone looking for a reminder of just how great it is to live in a free society.

Kate Moss just launched her Spring/Summer 2008 collection. You can buy it at TopShop. Here’s one of her pieces:

She has a lot of great pieces, and you can view the entire Kate Moss collection here. TopShop ships worldwide. To learn more about their clothes and see them in motion, view one of their many video podcasts. TopShop also offers special sizes for petite, tall, maternity, and babies.

Yasmin Le Bon Approved Spring 08 Fashion Collection

Yasmin Le Bon, supermodel and wife of Duran Duran lead singer Simon Le Bon, is representing House of Fraser’s Spring 08 line. Choose from pieces by designers such as Chloe, Diesel and Firetrap, and Paul Smith.

This yellow knit top with a frill down the front is from the exclusive line, Untold. It can go from office to evening, and yellow is a big color this season. It’s also available in black, gray, and orange.

By the way, Yasmin is also the mother of three. Doesn’t she look terrific?
