If you are, then you’re definitely going to want to check out the new line of jewelry and charms from designer Gina Cartwright.  Her collection is called “Charmed Circle” and includes some great pieces.

The charms are made from a combination of sterling silver, gold and semi-precious stones.  As well as charms, Charmed Circle also creates unique bracelets to hang your charms from.

Here are a few of my favorite pieces from their collection:

The birdcage charm is a little gilded cage – complete with a tiny bluebird inside.  The bird has crystal eyes and the cage door even opens and closes!

Write a love letter to someone special (or keep it for yourself) with these engraved crystal or semi-precious stone hearts, letters or symbols.  The stones have been embellished with 22kt gold and accented with a small diamond.

This sleek bangle bracelet definitely a different way to wear your charms – and is available in both sterling silver and 18kt gold plate (charm not included).

Lovely Charms by Charmed Circle

They’ve enlisted the help of some jewelry design greats to design the charms and the proceeds go to the CFDA’s charity “Fashion Targets Breast Cancer”.

Prices ranges from $23 to $76 and the sterling silver charms can feature Swarovski crystals, semi-precious gems or enamel accents.

RLM Studio by Robert Lee Morris teamed up with Julianne Moore and Leslie Fremar to create the sterling silver caged bird charm:

Vivienne Tam created this cutie of a panda, sporting a red and white dress with her signature “Viv” on the back.   It’s made from epoxy enamel and accented with silver-tone metal:

Judith Ripka used a double-sided carved turquoise heart as the focal point of her charm, and wrapped it with a decorative sterling silver bezel to hold it:

Designer Charms for Charity

 These charms by well-loved designer Tord Boontje are available in sterling or gold. They come 3-4 to a set, and there are 4 different sets. Unfortunately they come with a cotton cord in lieu of all the fabulous chains you see above, but that makes them a lot less expensive at $22 to $40 a set. So,, if you have some chains at home, and I bet you do, you could whip up a totally sweet set of necklaces right quick. Available from A + R Store.

I decided to take matters into my own hands and glued three little robin’s egg blue beads into the nest.  I attached a plain silver curb chain to the ends.  I’m quite pleased with how it turned out!
