Ooh la la! The beautiful elegance of the Christian Dior brand shines through in their new Spring Look 2009 Collection. I’m absolutely smitten with the classic look of this collection.

The little chic Lady Dior Radiant Couture Touch-Up for faces, cheeks and lips is positively divine. Modeled after the iconic Dior handbag, the quilted black-leather look and cane pattern is an absolute legend. Of course, it’s more than just beautiful to look at; inside is the perfect color for that “Oh me? I just pulled this look together at the last minute, why thank you I sure do look fabulous!” look.

Their line for Spring is modeled after the polished, understated elegance of the Parisian woman in the 1960s. The eyeshadow palettes come in iridescent and matte shades, with a handful of colors to pair up and create a custom, just for you combination.

Pretty, pink, and oh so elegant. This is the perfect makeup collection for the professional fashionista. You can purchase the Lady Dior Charm Radiant Couture Touch-ups for $45 (recently marked down from $90) from Sephora. Other items from the collection range from $40 - $60 each.

In anticipation of American Idol I have been listening to and catching up with previous American Idol contestants and winners. One of those is Kellie Pickler, who sings that horribly catchy song “In My Red High Heels.”  Of course, listening to this song makes me think of more shoes! Shoes, shoes shoes!

Some of my friends adore patent shoes, while others do not appreciate their classic, yet young appeal that I love. JK Rowling wore a spectacular silk coat by Dior at a recent awards ceremony.  While I haven’t been able to track down the same coat, I did find this one by Dior:

It has the same jeweled belt and is a luxurious 100% silk - just in a trendy green animal print, rather than paisley.  Rowr!

Of course, couture is out of the reach of everyone but a handful of women in the world.  I still appreciate the mastery and opulence of the collections!
