There are some things luxurious investments are choices, much like choosing soda over water or spending savings on a vacation when you should be paying off student loans. However, the black pump, much like the little black dress is one investment that just cannot be overlooked.

These Christian Louboutin Miminette 70mm Pumps are a perfect example of how an investment piece doesn’t have to be boring. The patent leather and amazing comfort that comes along with these small heels are amazingly understated, but still chic. Of course you could pick up a pair of patent leather pumps from a non-name designer from Target, Wal-Mart or even DSW, but will someone stop you on the street or at a job interview and say “Where in the world did you get those shoes?”

These shoes are available at Net-A-Porter for $595. They are 3 inches (hence the 77 mm in the name for all you Americans) and have the signature red soles of all Christian Louboutin heels.

I know you all love the Armadillo Silk d’Orsay shoes that Christian Louboutin makes. I found that out when I wrote about the Striped pair a few weeks ago. So, just to indulge you all a bit more, I’ve found this Armadillo Satin d’Orsay in red. They’re just perfect for the holidays, some people just cannot get enough red and and green in their lives. Well, I just can’t get enough Christian Louboutin shoes!

These have a red pleated satin with a peep toe and a 4 and 7/10″ inch heel. They’re listed at $865.

I’m sure if you love Christian Louboutin shoes as much as I do, you’ve seen these and love them. If you haven’t bought them you have a pair that looks like them. Of course, you can get these at Neiman Marcus for $553.

They are a nappa leather with a black or camel top stitching and a 3 2/5″ inch heel. Of course, the best part is the red sole that everyone covets.

I love the black, but the camel color would be awesome for almost any outfit as well.
